Here's an interview with Kevin Eastman about the issue: http://geek-news.mtv.com/2012/07/13/...tman-tmnt-idw/

Very psyched for it!

You and I both! Having Eastman at the reins in both art and writing is going to be great, and something TMNT fans have longed for since the (in my opinion) shoddy and "extreme" Body Count.

Haha, they are dead wrong in their intro paragraph. They delegated Laird to writing and Eastman all the art in the original TMNT book. HA!

As a hardcore Donatello fan, I understand why Eastman centers his Annual around Raphael and Casey...I'd do the same thing with Donatello if I was in his shoes. Although, I hope the favoritism doesn't creep through too much. I don't want it to be a little too Raph. (I had to do it).

I'm psyched just like everyone else! Still, has anyone else felt like Eastman's Caseys have looked a little off with the short hair on this and the #12 cover? Maybe he's not used to drawing him without long hair yet!

48 page issue?! It's just like the ol' Mirage days...

Gotta love Kevin's enthusiasm!

Also loved seeing "best friend Peter Laird" in the mix, even it was in context regarding the early days of yore. Call me overly-optimisctic, but I'm reeeeeeeeally hoping for something super-special to happen in the future.

corvus · 07-14-2012, 10:56 AM

The interview...will not work on my phone...no matter what I do.

Odd...it's a text article. Sloppily written, so perhaps that's the prob - your phone is incompatible with stupid.

Wow! It's Awesome! Love the detail in his work.

*Redeemer* · 07-14-2012, 01:37 PM

Bad-Assery is all I can say!!!! I cannot wait!!!!! I just hope the storyline is more original that what it sounds like in the interview....

Lampy · 07-14-2012, 02:18 PM

I am stoked for this... it looks like some huge war. And I'm glad to see the savate ninjas back in the story....

Not to be the first to complain but mousers or rock soldiers involved in this fight? That faction feels a little left out. But still its only the cover and Turtles + Casey vs. Unnamed Savateurs vs. Foot vs. Dragons! And Casey and Raph issues are awesome when not overdone. Raph is close to my least favorite turtle(that being Leo) but even I won't deny I look forward to issues where him and Casey are beating the crap out of people together.

This... I'd love to see too. I'm pretty sure most... if not all... mirage fans would love for this to happen.

Found this on a website i order comics from:

Raphael and Casey find themselves in the middle of a criminal caper gone awry that touches the lives of many of their friends... and enemies! Double-cross upon double-cross leads the Turtles to the heart of the NYC criminal underworld. Various factions jockey for power, but at the end of the day only one can end up on top. Will it be the Foot Clan? Expect the unexpected in this exciting, all-new Kevin Eastman-written/drawn tale!

hope there's a link to preorder this online somewhere soon

SS_Turtle · 07-15-2012, 03:06 PM

I'd imagine this will be available at your local comic book store.
That way you won't need to pay shipping unless you have amazon prime.
