That cover for the TMNT Adventures trade with all red bandanas and now this cover with a big pizza for a trade collecting Mirage's TMNT issues. They really don't know what they are doing down there. Quite insulting, not considering the very low, amateurish, anyone-could-do-better quality of the coloring and all the coloring errors. No one ever treated this comic so badly, they're releasing really cheap items from the "old Mirage and Archie's stuff department". They should've invested a little more in the original material or a little.. less. I mean, Ultimate Collection books were great, the Color Classics totally unnecessary IF done so bad. Only my opinion, obviously. I really appreciate what they're doing with the on-going series on the other hand, but that's coming from another "department".

Bobby said all these trade collections are done by a totally different department than the people who work on the regular IDW series.

So whoever is in charge of putting the trades together might not be as well informed about the franchise as Tom Waltz/Bobby etc.

I was actually interested in the color classics and hoped it'd be collected...but that was when it was announced I don't know how I feel about it if you guys say the issues are colored badly. Anyway I think IDW is going to overexpose the brand with so many TMNT TPBs and comics, I am a fan and I am totally lost on all the things IDW is releasing and have no idea what is what anymore.

So we have the IDW series with a bunch of minis right? the infection crossover and TPB's of the IDW series?

We have hardcover collections of the V.1 but they skip around issues? some of the skipped issues are being reprinted in colored collections right?

We have colored classics which are single issues of v.1 and now this is a TPB of those issues? Will it even continue if it's selling poorly? THey probably don't have to sell that many to break even counting the material is already done..

And we have archie reprints as well? I honestly don't know I'm totally lost to how many books IDW has.

Yeah, this collection are the same issues as the ones in the Ultimate collections, just the only difference are these are in color.

Don't forget the Tales of the TMNT collections, which goes alongside the Ultimate Collections, then the Vol. 1 classics.

And honestly, anyone can figure out the difference between Mirage collections and the collections of the new IDW series or the Archie stuff.

What are the errors in Color Classics?

There's Shredder in #1
The missing page in #5 (think this was already confirmed as being corrected)

Anything else? Gonna drop a letter in to the IDW reprint department, may as well include everything. We should all do it, the more of us who ask the better the chances of this being corrected.

Also gonna ask if they can do RTNY before ending the single issues, it's only 3 more issues and would be a much better ending for the series than #11.

Should be called "Sewer Fresh" because that's where these colored books belong. Give me a hardcover of the classics series in black and white. Then we have a deal.

This is what I don't get: they do hardcovers for these cheap badly colored stuff and they don't do hardcovers for the real deal. I mean, I've never been a fan of the Archie's TMNT series but man, would I be tempted by an oversized hardcover with the first issues of TMNT Adventures! The same for Zulli's trilogy! Fingers crossed for Mirage's TMNT Volume 2, will they have mercy for that one?

The Archie series was excellent, but I don't think we need hardcovers of those. We just need more than 4 issues collected per volume.

Totally. Marvel and DC do at least six issues a trade, right?

I already have the black and white hardcovers, so I'm not going to rush to get this. One more collection and I'll feel like I should be on a special episode of Hoarders: "I keep buying the same exact book over and over for no real reason".

Is there a thread/post where all the comics collected in each TPB is done in detail?

I'm starting to think I might get this to have a consistent TPB collection since not all the TPBs are in B/W might as well have them all in color.

That's why I'm reluctant to pick up the Archie trades, I get the feeling they're going to be canceled halfway through.

I already own all of Archie anyway but I feel sorry for the people who want to get into it but don't have much material reprinted.

Is the archie run being reprinted in B/W or is it being reprinted in new coloring? I remember reading here that the coloring had been lost or something which caused a problem.

Archie is in color. They're just scanning the pages.

Didn't they already do that with the Ultimate Collection?

The Eastman and Laird material yes. Everything else being reprinted is with their ass recoloring.

I just finished reading the new Tales of the TMNT collection, and I thought the coloring was really good. I didn't notice any errors from reading through it, although I didn't study every page.

Nobody and Rat King were colored correctly, and I enjoyed the issues a bit more than usual due to the coloring, despite having read them many times and having the Mirage Tales collection from back in 2007.

I think it depends on the issues.

Several of the originally printed issues are still available on the Mirage website, and you can probably find the rest on eBay.

IDW need to stop doing this "quantity over quality" thing and just release all the original issues properly—i.e., good scans (which the Ultimate books do not contain), no color (except the ones that originally had color, of course), ALL of the issues, plenty of issues per hardcover book, and so on.

Really, I'm disappointed in the way IDW are handling the back issues. I won't buy any more unless they start doing things right.
