As for me; Mr ogg, the polarisoid, Savante Romero, Bloodsucker (we have Whyrm), C'hrell, Pimiko, Carter, Lord Dregg, Mia the Vampire, and all the fast forward and red sky characters,
I wouldn't mind seeing Mia..in person...over drinks. What I'm saying is she's hot..

Anyways Dragon lord didn't work in next mutation...in fact nobody worked in next mutation the show was awful and I don't think the character is worth saving. I disagree with Bloodsucker 100%, he would be awesome and is nothing like whyrm. Savante is doable but they'd have to open up the whole time lord can of worms and honestly, its a story we've all heard before.

Corvus, if Armaggon is added to the mix and Savante Romero and him become rivals trying to vie for control of time it might work.

In reference to 2003 cartoon's Rat King, it was the story of Rat King as told in his only alive appearance in the Mirage Comics but he was an imperfect clone that got flushed by accident not a human that chose to live in a foundary. Taking his humanity away hurts my appreciation for the character as it was just The Slayer dressed in rags being passed off as Rat King without saying it.

I didn't mention Venus in my original post in this thread because I assumed it was understood she is the #1 thing to be kept out of anything TMNT.

Rat King's origin is different in every series, does it really matter?

She was only blacklisted because of Laird, and he isn't involved with the turtles anymore.

I have no desire to see characters such as Complete Carnage and Savanti Romero, The Federation, The Triceratons.

I have a feeling we'll see the Triceratons, even if just a cameo.

I don't want to see any superheroes in this series. Guys without powers like Nobody is fine, but nothing beyond that.

The Justice Force, Silver Sentry, even Bugman...it cheapens the Turtles reasons to keep themselves a secret if there are guys with superpowers running around.

I was going to say, "no one," because, while there are some characters I'd be more excited to see new versions of than others, I have a feeling that even characters I haven't been fond of before would be used for a decent reason, be different enough so that past reactions hardly matter and help build the universe in a fun way.

But you know what? Screw that, because I don't want to see the Justice Force or the Ancient One or the Ninja Tribunal again. The Justice Force (or any big, public group of superheroes) because it's never worked very well with the Turtles' universe, and the Ancient One and Ninja Tribunal because they're just horrendous concepts at their most basic levels.

Re: The superhero conversation:

While I, again, don't want the Justice Force, I think one or two could work without straining believability (such as it is). Specifically, I've never felt Nobody and Radical were out of place in the Turtles' world. Nobody for the lack of superpowers and public awareness, and Radical because, even though she was an all-purpose superwoman, she tapped into the sort of surrealism and spiritualism Mirage ran with on the reg. I think that could be ported over and toned down to work in IDW as well.

Why the blanket statement for all "red sky" and Fast Forward characters? "Red Sky" had a few memorable villains, and Fast Forward had the kind of rogues gallery most versions of TMNT could only dream of, many of whom don't particularly need the future setting to work.

Berseko of all of them really needed more attention. He had the connection ot Krang,an army behind him, a reason to hate both Krang and the TMNT, and even carried a handheld game. Despite all of that he had one appearance in the '87 cartoon and that was it! His only appearance in"Get Shredder" he was overshadowed by Shredder actually proving to naysayers he can be a bada$$. As said my myself and other before, he was the perfect choice for a replacement lead villain if it was neccessary after "Turtle Trek". I can also find further use for Titanus and Krakus( who would have been better than Landor and Merrick especially for continuity purposes). Those two can be incorporated into a bleak future along with Armaggon. Armaggon,Titanus, and Savanti Romero as villians of the future. Hmmm....IDW needs to look into that! Aside from the red sky I liked the concept of the evil uncle Darius Dunn. He as a theorized and Peter Laird confirmed actually murderered his sister and brother-in-law before we met him in 2105. I doubt we would ever seee him and his nephew again and I don't care if we do or don't but that proves it does as kid friendly as you would suspect by the bright sky and hopeful future.

Radical could work but do we really want to see her? The conflict between her and complete carnage is really cool one time around but I don't need that again, its just like the whole Savante and Rennet thing, it'd be like a two issue villain of the week structure and I don't want the time wasted. Nobody works and would be great, he's only a step up from Casey in the superhero department. I mean, there's mutants running around hurting people, if the purple dragons and hobs gang knows about it its safe to assume some cops do and they feel powerless, that would be enough to inspire nobody.

As for fast forward characters I didn't watch much of it but what I did see was horrible, that and next mutation are some of the lowest points in TMNT history and imo are better off ignored.

I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert on the OT or archie comic, I didn't know what the hell a neutrino was til last year, but I'd hate to see a lot of those villains, to me they just aren't tmnt and could have been thrown into biker mice from mars or captain planet and worked just fine, they're generic gimmicky cartoon villains . IDW feels like mirage with elements of the OT and to a lesser extant 4kids.
