Also forgot to mention seeing the Mousers again was a nice touch, no matter how brief it was. The other cartoons had Baxter pretty much abandon the Mousers after their episodes, I hope this Baxter keeps them around.

Good but not great episode. I liked fishface a lot more before he was mutated to well fishface lol.Enjoyed the back story.

For the record, i love this show....BUT i don't know about y'all but I'm still waiting for this show to really shift gears and deliver that "holy s--t" episode similar to the 4kids late season one episode when Shredder and the elite gaurd beat the hell out of leo,burned down aprils apt/antique shop,epic foot battle and where casey showed up to help ....NOT THAT is what im waiting for the nick show to give me...and its getting down to the final few episodes of season one so keeping fingers crossed.

Is it just me or do filler episodes like "Cockroach Terminator" fly by while episodes like this seem a little longer, even though they're not?
EDIT: By the way, my favorite quote from this episode came from Mikey. "I can think of five enemies way archer than him!"

Really good episode!! Loved that we got a backstory for Xever and loved that they teamed up. "Stop helping each other!"

Granted, the Fan of Death worked pretty well for Kitana in Mortal Kombat, but I'm not sure it's gonna do April much good in battle. Historically, Raphael has had a hard time in fights where his strategy is to throw his weapons at his enemies, and that seems like it might be April's primary defense with the fan. Oh well, I'm looking forward to seeing her use it anyway. And it was really funny to watch her experiment with the other weapons. Part of me was thinking Splinter might give her a boomerang in homage to the old Archie comics that told the story of how the Turtles got their weapons.

Maybe it's just me but for the first time I was struck by how much Karai's face seems to remember "Miwa's" mother in Splinter's photograph.

I actually really enjoyed this episode, like, a lot. A ton of really great interactions in this episode - it was nice to see everyone working together. There was some pretty fun humor too.

But a lot of it really comes down to the Raph/Fishface stuff for me. Their fight scenes were pretty sweet - whether fighting against each other or on the same side - and they bounced well off of each other (...both figuratively and literally, I guess, lol). Also loved their little chat and the very end with the ball of DOOM. It was great to finally get more of Xever's story. This episode set up a pretty cool rivalry for them, and I hope this isn't the only episode we see it in.

In case anyone was still wondering, Xever is indeed Brazilian. In his flashback, they show a store with a sign for a quick second. It shows the sign for the Brazilian real, R$.

Really great episode! Some excellent fight scenes in there, especially the one in the beginning. I caught Mikey dancing like Maxi (Soul Calibur) for a second and geeked out (though I think Maxi’s moves are really based on Bruce Lee’s). Oh man I’m gonna make some nice battle gifs out of this one…

Xever’s backstory was wicked cool. God I love those 2d sequences. I really started to sympathize with the character there. I’d thought his and Raph’s interaction was great. I’d like to see the two of them bro it up again.

So Baxter’s using Sentinel Spheres now, eh? Has he been hanging out with the Tall Man on the side?
