He had an interesting back story in season 1, then they backseat him hard now.

Personally, I don't think his story is done. He only joined Shredder to save his own skin and to escape prison. Anton and Steranko are also stuck with Shredder against their wills. I could see all three eventually trying to escape him...hopefully... I guess you could say that Stockman's already trying.

I feel a x-men mutant cure type story line is going to happen at some point.
I'd really like to see Donatello and Baxter join forces to make large batches of retromutagen.
I could see Baxter trying to double cross the turtles though.
So many characters like Vic would be clamoring for a cure.
I really think this would be a great addition to the story line.

Fishface is a lame mutant. I preferrred the character as Xever. More interesting as a regular thug.

I don't think Fishface is redundant: I just think he's been outclassed. When Stockman first gave him his legs, he was a pretty formidable mutant, fully capable of kicking the turtle's shells any time he really wanted to. Then Dogpound got mutated into Rahzar, and Shredder acquired Tigerclaw. The two of them are more capable of handling bigger, faster threats than Fishfish is, and they actually get along and like each other: Fishface just seems to get on everyone's nerves. With the addition of Beebop and Rocksteady, I only see him falling further down the hierarchy, especially since the turtles have improved so massively (I bet he won't be bouncing them around like soccer balls anymore).

For some reason I have a hard time seeing him leave Shredder, though. I almost feel like he'll stay until the bitter end, hoping for that one big break that will make him Shredder's golden boy (or fish) again.

I can see almost all the mutants getting de-mutated by the end of the show, probably with a city-wide spread "cure" that they sprinkle in jets over the city like in Season 4 of 4kids.

Willing to bet all human-mutants turn back to humans by the end of the show, even Bradford/Xever, Baxter and maybe Bebop/Rocksteady.

Sucks for some of the animal mutants who will just go back to being dumb animals again though. I can see Slash being spared from this fate, but not many others.

Both Dogpound and Fishface were heavily marketed in the beginning and billed as the "Rocksteady & Beebop" of the show. Both had strong human characters before mutating but lost some of that appeal as soon as they did and the writers didn't use them as much and pretty much dumped them in S2 and retconned Dogpound into Rahzar which is pretty much a different character than Dogpound even if technically they're the same but Fishface got left in the dust. The fact that fans bitched that these two were not R&B probably made the writers lose interest. A shame really.

The only villain I hope gets demutated is Tigerclaw. The main reason is because he's embraced his mutation a bit too well. He really thinks of himself as a tiger. I mean, he referred to Karai as Shredder's "cub". He's too far into it. I wonder how he would react if he was demutated. He probably wouldn't know what he'd do with himself.

I would want Xever to turn on Shredder and the others and ally up with Bebop and Rockstedy to try overtaking him, along with Baxter. I couldn't see Bebop and Rocksteady being fully loyal since they were forcefully mutated.

Now, will this happen...I kind of doubt it...

That would be an interesting scenario. to have a guy love being a mutant forced into being a human. Its a good spin because so many characters are trying to be human.

I'm all for some of the mutants being turned back into human, for a couple of reasons. One because there are so many characters that drop off with out much to do anymore, some characters were more interesting as humans and it will drop this feeling that bad guys have to be mutated and it would make it feel like their is more progression with some of these character.

Well, the formula for filler antagonists usually goes:

introduced >> made out to be a badass for one or two episodes >> overshadowed by other antagonists

So I'm not all that surprised that he isn't getting much attention now. But I do think Bebop and Rocksteady really took away from Fishface and Rahzar. All four essentially have the same roles, but since B & R are nostalgic/newly-introduced, they're going to have all the spotlight now. So I'm hoping they give a cool twist to (at least) one of the four.

I totally agree. He had potential and they made him out to be this complex, "bad guy who might turn good" kind of character. And that was really cool. But after that episode & scene, he never got more than just a few passing lines. Kinda bummed me out.

Fishface is probably my favorite of the new mutants, both in design and personality.

I've always liked Xever and do feel he's definitely more of a background character now. I'd love to see him go rogue and maybe join the PD's at some point if he gets turned to a human again, and that would be awesome. I can't see him staying with Shredder since he's been relegated to the background, so I hope they do something with him where he turns on Shredder.

It's a slow buildup. Dogpound and Fishface struck me as "starter mutants" from the getgo, mainly because of what animals they were mutated into. And now Dogpound is Rahzar. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Tokka down the road too. So where does that leave Fishface? The most sympathetic, honorable (when Raphael saved his life, he returned the favor) and redundant of Shredder's mutants. I think that means a redemption arc of some kind down the road.

That definitely sounds like something they'll do with him, and I hope they do something like this.

I think he is one of the most interesting of the bad guys, he's definitely brutal whilst being intelligent who has a lot of shades and potential to go down the path of an anti hero like Slash even a leader of his own thing. Personally, I'd love to see him get double mutated into a Shark but he definitely needs more screen time.

It's just too much of a waste for an original character to just be phased out. I really do hope they take him somewhere.

I always got the impression that Tigerclaw was actually a tiger who got mutated (like the turtles)... not a human (like Hamato Yoshi/Splinter). Was it explicitly stated he was once human?
Either way, seeing him demutated would be pretty crazy!

Yeah, I think he mentioned in one of his episodes (maybe his debut) that he was mutated by the Kraang when he was a young boy. I think it just just be why he identifies more as a tiger then a human, since he lived with being a mutant since he was a child.

Did you just call him a goldfish?! *lol* (Or are you just playing koi?)

Yeah, I don't think he would have picked up mannerisms like lapping milk or calling a child a cub if he was human to begin with; being a mutated tiger makes more sense to me. We still don't know any of this backstory other than that he knows Shredder and someone (my bet is Shredder) chopped off his tail.

As to FishFace... poor guy's just been pushed down the ranks, and he's never even gotten to use his poison bite again for anything.

I doubt R&B will be the dutiful grovelling mutants Shredder seems to expect them to become, and if they run off on their own, it wouldn't surprise me if Xever cut out with them. Even Tiger Claw looks like he's having his doubts about Shredder's ambition. Baxter... well, looks like Shredder has furnished him pretty well, so he'll more likely stay put than run at this point.
