It's most likely a working title or a code name used for the filming crew.

I expect they don't want to draw too much attention if they used the full name as they probably want to film some important scenes in secret or Just don't want huge crowds gathering near them and maybe don't want anything getting leaked onto the internet like photos, videos ect.

But obviously stuff will get leaked soon enough and end up here and then we get the messages that Paramount want them removed.

I expect there will be a lot of rumours on different title names, in the next few months.

That is correct, They often have a working title, that doesn't make a reference to the actual movie, But Half-Shell is pretty much a reference no matter what.

And usually when the word gets out of a film's working title, They know the movie is filming, So they can't hide it no longer.

We can expect more behind the scenes photos and videos, of any of the filming going on in the next couple of days or weeks.

How the hell do you get more lame-ass than TMNT: Half-Shell? Are they "too cool" for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2?

I have never wanted to see a film fail so much, let alone a TMNT one. I want this awful studio to eagerly pour hundreds of millions of money into this abomination only to see it fail at the box office. I want them to realize in horror that you can only shovel so much garbage into the audiences' face before they stop buying tickets, and understand too late that they should have hired someone remotely competent in the first place.

Of course that won't happen though. It'll be another box office success and they'll make a 3rd and a 4th because people love to be shoveled garbage. Just look at Transformers.

in all seriousness wait until stuff comes out regarding The Turtles Bebop and Rocksteady splinter and Shredder. I mean bitching about a title that is the working title and not the actual title is pretty silly.

Jesus Christ....Half-Shell is not a working title. Working titles have no correlation to the film.

For example, Bigfoot was the working title for Ant-Man.

Uh, well a working title isn't always to go incognito, that's not the only use, sometimes it's just a place holder.

No reason to permanently decide this soon to call it "More Turtles This Time" when after editing it turns into "April Movie 2".
