Do you think it's possible to have a dead Splinter ?in a TMNT show? - Page 2

Define 'dead'.
'Dead' as in: stabbed through the heart....but will come back to life when someone pulls out the dagger in a later episode?
'Dead' as in: pulverized into a zillion particles by an atomic blast....but reassembled in another dimension, trying to return to his own dimension (Donnie knows how) ?
'Dead' as in: scratched by a Zombie, making him a Zombie also, so, technically dead, but retaining enough life to still more or less function normally and crave brains as food ?
'Dead' as in: character killed in a 'car accident' because the producers got sick of the actor's antics? (unlikely with a cartoon.....)
'Dead' as in: NickToon 'dead' ("I can't believe he's...gone!!"), meaning he'll return 2-3 episodes down the road, no explanation necessary.

Yes but in a more serious one ,. Not the current Nick show. If the next show is as serious as 2003 show was then yes it will be possible. But we all know that we will never get a more serious TMNT show until Nick decides to sell tmnt to someone else.

Sure, of course.
I mean...how many Disney movies have there been where the main character's mother has been offed? Same thing.

But then, for me it's not only Splinter that keeps the family together, it's him and Mike.

It's not that unusual for a character to die or to have been dead in a kid's cartoon. A preschool show, definitely but not something PG.

Iron Man's dad from Iron Man Armored Adventures was presumed dead for the entire first season and most of the second season.

It could work, but I think if it happens, he should be dead by the hands of Shredder. Think of all the stuff that could flow out of that, rather then merely have him die of natural causes. I also agree with the the others: Nick won't do this as long as it owns the franchise. TMNT would have to be owned by somebody not so 'kid friendly,' and ballsy enough not to succumb to 'TMNT is for children' or the cries of outraged soccer-moms.

Otherwise, any chance of these alternative scenarios happening are less then -0%. Not with a corporation dominated by Spongebob, and the Western mentality: 'Cartoons are for kids.'

It would be hard to deal with since Splinter is the glue that holds the guys together, but we all know it'll happen sometime. If they were to do it in this current show, maybe show a future where Splinter is gone and the Turtles have to fend for themselves. They don't have to show the death but just imply that he's gone and the guys are alone.

It could happen, but the turtles won't ever linger on it. Nick turtles are notorious for brushing serious stuff off like a case of bad dander. For Ra's sake, Leo self sacrifices early on in the show to complete a mission and so the others can live...and what to they do? Put on a couple frownie faces.

Your brother just died. Thats not frownie face material.

I think it could legitimately happen in the Nick series. I just don't think it'd be as sad as it needs to be though.
