I liked Episode I, smart guy, don't even pretend I'm hard to please.

I just think that thing's goofy-looking and lazy. It looks like a portable omelet griddle on top of a soccer ball. Not sure what kind of functional basis such a droid would have, if any. I mean, MOST Star Wars droids don't look like they do or could do particularly anything at all, but that one looks crummy, to me.

BB8? As in Beach ball? Mmkay, J.J. lol And the guy with the crossguard lightsaber is Kylo Ren, right? Not bad. Doesn't exactly send chills down my spine as far as villain names go, but guess we gotta get to know him first. At first, I thought my screen reader said Mylo. Now that really made me shudder until I had it spell the word after turning off the microwave. Kylo works, I guess, but a Darksider named Mylo?

It could probably be a pet. A droid made for families that don't want the responsiblity.

So cool, releasing the names like that. Love it! My two year old son loves watching the trailer, and most of all he loves the robot, ("Bee-boop bee-boop!") but is a bit scared of the Stormtroopers. ("Stormpoopers!")

I'm so excited that in three or four years time, the two of us are going to be hitting the cinema to catch new Star Wars movies.

Gary Whitta no longer attached to write the Star Wars Spin-Off movie, Apparently he turned in a 1st draft. Could it be that Lucasfilm did not liked it? This isnt the first time this happened, someone was originally attached to write episode 7, and then they decided to dump him for someone else.

Arndt turned in a script that JJ Abrams did not like, Which is why they hired the writer for TESB to do it, So it's possible Lucasfilm has read it, and it wasn't to there standards.

This could be a good thing, They can hire a better writer for it, after all, This dude wrote After Earth.

I'm aware of what happened with Arndt. This seems different. The THR article was essentially a press release from Lucasfilm with comments from Whitta and Edwards. Nothing like that happened with Arndt. Whitta has also had another project lined up for a few months.

That's cute that you think Whitta was the problem with After Earth.
