ok here is one for Heretic: could females ever be ninja's or shadow warriors to any degree when the ninja where still making their rounds in Japan?

May I answer the question?

Girls were ninjas, too. They were called Konoichi and means deadly flower.
The education is the same, so there are no differences between man and woman.

Hmm, that is interesting I wonder why girls could be ninjas back in the day but not samurei

. Does any one know why this is?

Basic Sexism that goes throughout history wherever you look. Women were until the 20th century basically things you could "use" for whatever you wanted them. Of course, there was a thing called "rape" for example, but not many were convicted as rapists back then.

As an example, women were not allowed to vote in Switzerland until the 70ies. Men voted so that women could also vote. But one canton (something like a state in Switzerland) called Appenzell Innerrhoden had to be forced to give the voting rights to women in the early nineties.

So, you see, sexism still is an issue and it will probably forever be.

That's something I've always wanted to ask a Swiss guy about - why? I've never found any explanation for that, only some statements about 1971. Even Wikipedia didn't help.

Basically it was because Switzerland is way behind. Some people still don't see why women should vote. Some still think women are stupid and belong in the kitchen, where they can do good for mankind.

if the reason that girls couldn't be samurei back in the day was because of sexism, than why could they be ninjas? Wouldn't the same sexism stand for girls being ninjas
