It's pretty certain though that NT:TNM would never have come into being unless Venus was included, so Peter's objections to her were drowned out. Since he now has sole ownership he has been able to remove Venus from the official universe.
And Kevin was not "forced" out. That much I know. I would guess that his selling out his share of the TMNT had to do with money...things like this most often do.
I don't see how Peter could be perceived as not respecting the idea of the TMNT since he co-created them...and is the one helping to return them to their original concept.

Eastman did not create venus, but was not so much against her than Laird. And the fact that they live in diffrent states and Eastman working with Heavy Metal, he sold his share. There was no forcing involved.

I dunno...there are conflicting stories and in at least one interview Kevin stated that he invented Venus. But sometimes Kevin's stories change...sorta. Don't get me wrong, I love him dearly, but I do know-- from personal experience-- that Kevin tends to tell people what they want to hear.

Maybe he invented her, but only because a girl turtle was an order from fox. And yeh i think that Venus was Eastman and Laird's biggest conflict.

They wanted todo live action series fox produced it, but the condition was that there will have to be a girl turtle. Even if there were no venus, the show wouldn't have been any better. Most of people(besides little kids) hated the show, but there are few who liked it.

Well, I wasn't in the fandom when the whole thing was going on, but I'm guessing a number of fans hated the idea of a female turtle from the very beginning. Before the show even started, when all they had was "we're doing a ninja turtles show with a girl turtle". Others thought the idea was okay and waited until they actually saw the show before hating it. Others are nuetral. And there are some, myself included, who think Venus was a good idea, and we all joined the Venus fan group on Yahoo!

Venus gets on my nerves to no end, but I think ths concept could have worked if ANYONE other than SABAN had been working on it.

Yes, that's my opinion too. TMNT Letters and fan fic portrayals of her and the NM universe as a whole were far less annoying.

*stupified stare @ Spike*

You.... don't.... know..... Man, you been livin' in a cave, or what???

SABAN= The moron who produced PowerRangers, VR Troopers, and, unfortunately, the short-lived live-action TMNT series, The Next Mutation.

VENUS= The female turtle (whom most ppl can't stand) That the aforementioned moron introduced in the short-lived live-action TMNT series, The Next Mutation.

Well I like NT TNM, don't give me that look, for what it was it was good, I mean it came from the same company that does Power Rangers so expectations were'nt high. Personnaly I loved the concept of Venus, if not the real deal and some fan-Fics I've read with her in them were great, she can be made cool. Ok so the Hummer was a little of the top, the sound effects were over used, Wick- no comment. But It did give us Bone Steel, I love Bone Head, he is you of my favorite villians, simpley because hes not a villian, he just hunts. Of course you need to know I also watch Armada every new ep in the vain hope that the kids will be killed horibbly and skinned alive by megatron feed to Hot Shot, so my opinion may not be the best
