Well 10 years is pretty good for a cartoon. Well the ratings started to drop arpund season 7, So apparently during the 10th season they were so low that new season wouldn't have done any profit.

No, the ratings were still pretty good in season 10. Switching to the more serious style made their ratings jump a lot. There was some unique reason why tmnt was cancelled and I can't recall what it was.

Actually, I know what happened to Bebop and Rocksteady. According to an interview with Jeffrey Scott, the writer of all the Season 10 episodes, he was "told to avoid them" when writing the new season. It was okay to bring back Shredder and Krang, but for reasons we'll never know, Scott was not encouraged to bring back our favorite bumbling duo.

That's because CBS wanted more educational programming.

Yes, initially the ratings were great for Season 8. It was something different, and viewers tuned in to see all the differences in the show. But in Season 9, the ratings started to fall again. People weren't interested in a show featured around Dregg and all the other nonsense that transpired in the last two seasons. Only the most devout followers of the cartoon stuck it through to the end.

You know, I think that was the answer. Now that you mention it, I remember reading that somewhere. The cartoon didn't fit with the kind of direction CBS was taking Saturday mornings, so the show was cancelled.

Yeah, look at the crap they show now on tv. I think there's 2 shows I still watch on tv. #1 The simpsons, #2 The Man show. The rest are re-runs or movies I have on tape or dvd and whatever I have on my computer. I really think there should be a channel for classic 80s-90s cartoons. I know there's boomerang which is owned by CN, but they don't show anything that great to speak of. We would need a channel that is reasonable and doesn't edit for time. It would be kinda like TV Land except TV Land edits their shows for time.

Well.... if CBS didn't like TMNT anymore and wanted more educational stuff... They could have moved TMNT to FOX Kids or something like that then.

HAHAHAHA! I can hear April now and it's so funny because it does sound like she's having an orgasm!!! As Raphael would probably ask: "What's Shredder doing to her?"

Makes me think of the time Leo said "That's April's scream, I'd recognise it anywhere!"

True but fox had already rejected TMNT during the 4th season and probably didn't want it back and it had been running for so long that a lot of stations probably didn't want it.

When Leonardo said he'd recognize April's scream anywhere, they had just met! LOL... no wait.... sorry. That was when Raphael said he'd recognize her teeth marks anywhere... in 'Turtle Tracks'.

One of those most annoying errors ever in the show was in 'Michaelangelo, The Sacred Turtle'. Before commerical, he was wearing a hat type thing and a sweator and pants but then after he's wearing a trenchcoat. I always hated that one. I didn't like the trenchcoats much but the other disguise I liked better.

I also liked the sweaters, especially when they would wear those color coded hats in place of their masks.
