Thanks, sdp. That's exactly what I was getting at. Actually, I played around with the ep list to see some possibilities for future release ep line-ups. Assuming they try to keep the seasons separate (which I can easily see them abandoning for a simple 'economy pack' line now), I guess it would make sense for them to do a 'first half of Season 4' set (including the first ep or two from their previous Season 4 release). Then, they could delay the second half for however long, pushing people to buy up the remaining copies of the obsolete but good enough set, and releasing "The Ninja Tribunal" on The Lost Season set if they see it fit. But, who knows? Really, I hardly care anymore for the moment. -_-

My opinion about the set:

I'm ok with it we already knew it was going to be Season 1 for about 20 so it was going to be a budget title since then. The only complain is we now have to wait twice as long to get finish the show. I mean so what that its S1V1? we are getting them in order for a good price, its totally worth it, maybe even some extras.

My only question is why is it 12 episodes? if S1 is 26 then the next set should be 14 why not just squeeze 13 on each like the current FF set.

Ep 13 is "Notes from the Underground" Part One (of Three). That's why. All the following seasons can be divided into two equal parts while avoiding this issue though.

Navarre is the company that owns FUNimation (and FUNi puts out these DVDs). So, either FUNi's parent company is excessively dumb or there actually is a 26-episode set coming out.

Well, it says the the release-date is May 22, 2007. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what's what.

HOPEFULLY, this ISN'T just a typo, or goof-up. At least, I hope that it isn't, anyway. But I'm going to wait and see what happens.

well they have gotten better near season 4 still 26 episodes of 1 season is alot and i would pay for them all to be together.

it sucks but this is a kids show.. this is why they do this.

Funimation has done it with alot of 4Kids shows infact.

Along with the already-noted TMNT and Winx Club, they have 2-Disc release for Yu-Gi-Oh and Sonic X as well.

You know 2 10 buck sets is cheaper then 1 30-40 buck set so if you think about it's better they split the sets up.

What's so eye-rolling about that?! It looks pretty good, IMO.

Looks good, but I got my hopes up for something like, I dunno, the cover of the first issue of TMNT from '85 done in the art style of the new cartoon.

Pretty much confirmation of the 2-disc 12-ep rumor... But, since it just says "Season 1", should we expect eps 13 to 26 to be "Season 2" now?? -_-

I'll go out on a limb and say it'll be called "Season 1 Volume 2" because the FF DVD is only half the season and there's no numbers on it just a title. I don't see how else they would name it.

Well, when I heard "comic style", I thought something along the lines of the Australian Lost Season cover art. Then it ended up being just the same old clip art we've all already seen.

Good price but no bonus features (unlike the five-episode Season 1 DVDs) and the not-what-I-expected comic cover art do it in quite a bit. Still, they are going to release Volume 2 in September, hopefully it'll provide more stuff.
