Anyways....other than TMNT and ARBBH I've mostly been downloading parody books. The Stupidman books are really funny as is the Sewage Dragoon (parody of Savage Dragon). As for non parody books get The Last Warring Angel series, brand new this year. There's also a good graphic novel on Geronimo. In the way of non comics I've only downloaded a medical journal on Thyroid Disorders. I've got a Da Vinci book in my queue tho. I might get those books on magic that they recently added...

I've also discovered a way to DL 6 books a day but it only really works if your on the west coast. Wowio appears to be on Mountain Time and they don't take into account the other time zones. So for me I can DL comics in the afternoon and in the evenings after 10pm

Anyone looking for anything else to read on Wowio, I highly suggest Alan Moore's Supreme run (with TMNT alumni Rick Veitch). It's a great read.

I was under the impression that the original super-turtle sketches had been done a long time ago but were never used, so it could have been Kevin who drew the original sketches (which is what I was referring to). But I think it was probably Peter just because it seems more in line with his style and interests.

Thanks for all the Wowio suggestions! I'll probably avoid the Savage Dragon parody, as I was never too interested in him, but all the other suggestions sound pretty good. If I find anything else I like, I'll be sure to post it here too. Keep the suggestions coming, though, if anyone else has any more.

Cool. I was almost about to buy some volume 4 issues, now I can read them before I decide whether or not to add them to my collection.

I've enjoyed the first seven, looking forward to getting to the part where everyone started hating the series.

I'm up to number 11.

I do not like the fact that the Utroms ran into such a creature.

And Leo and Donnie seem MUCH more violent than in their other incarnations.

I wish I had been reading this when it first came out. I never picked it up because at that time I only knew about the Ninja Turtles cartoon. I still haven't read City at War so there may be some things I'm not familiar with, but I really liked that funeral issue. Even if Splinter isn't as mainstream as Superman, as someone who grew up on TMNT as a kid I'd put Splinter dying as up there with Supes.

The part about how the Turtles say how much they miss Splinter totally broke my heart. IMHO they got rid of him too early.

April's mystery has me on the edge of my seat.

Otherwise, I am not so sure about the direction it has taken. Could be worse- but could be better. I would have kept Splinter alive AND with the Turtles. Most of the storylines would have worked with him around.

Splinter's technically not exactly dead tho. His body is dead but his spirit ascended and he became the new Rat King and a member of The Pantheon (a group of animal gods). My avatar is the Bat King.. He's since helped Raphael overcome his Gamera-rage and has appeared to in Michelangelo's nightmares and for some reason appeared to April while she was in Alaska.

I always thought that Eastman and Laird got along just fine and went their seperate ways on good terms. I mean, they weren't really doing anything with the Turtles at the time, who can blame Eastman for doing his own thing?

BTW weren't the Super-TMNT costumes the same ones used in the Archie comics?

They did not leave on good terms Kecin Eastman has made it pretty clear that Peter either wants it his way or the highway.
And no the outfits the tmnt have on in the wrestling issues of archie are based on early designs of the turtles outfits.

Maybe he got jealous cause he always got second billing... after all.. it IS always EASTMAN and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...

Peter does have full control. He bought Kevin's half of the TMNT in 2000. Although one would hope that wouldn't mean being a jerk about things, but apparently not.

Though evidently Peter does own all creative rights, from that last Kevin Eastman interview a while back we do know he does retain some degree of rights and royalties. In fact, he seemed to be downright insulted at the implication that he "sold out" all his rights to Laird, when that wasn't the case. I believe he dropped some F bombs to that end.
