Ghostbusters syndrome is when a movie comes out, and in between the first film and the second, the cartoon becomes so popular, it somehow incorporates the cartoon into the film. The WORST example of this was Men in Black 2. The second film tried to blend cartoon concepts into the movie universe (the addition of other mutants). And I think the Super Shredder ending was pretty cartoonish, even for the Turtles. The third had an interresting concept, but something just didn't work with it. There was something missing, and I just can't put my finger on it. it isn't the puppetry, it isn't the acting... it's just something intangable that's wrong with the film.

Actually, the real problem with super shredder was the WAY he was done, as you couldn't make him the real threat he should be at PG level without a really GREAT director and more understanding producers (which "NInja RAP" proves they did not have).

Although his actual pseudo suicide ("Shredder, you gotta listen to reason!") made sense if you look at his illogical action as the equivalent of 'roid rage. (Mutigen Madness?)

I'd like to point out one major scene where one of the ninja turtles weapons drops. In the scene where the turtles are fighting Tokka and Rahzhar with the donuts trick, Leonardo gets thrown into Donatello and Raphael, and while the turtles are on the ground, you can see Raphael's sai discarded from Raphael and lying on the ground. Neutrino, if you have that screen cap, post it and you'll see what I mean.

(Edit: this of course being in the 2nd movie. In the first movie, the one drop that happens is when Leo goes to attack Shredder and Shredder throws him to the ground (when Shredder makes the turtles believe Splinter is dead).)

TMNT III? I haven't seen it, but I practically loathe it for the costume designs. It was like... TMNT meets leprosy or some deadly disease with spots. Really...LOOK AT THEM!! I can't really stress enough how Leo looks like some sort of bizarre mutant shadow creature of himself here.

I'll probably sit down and watch it one day though. Kind of a must if you are a TMNT fan, right?

Yeah, during fights. I can think of a few instances off the top of my head: Raph dropping his sais during the rooftop battle, Leo dropping his swords during the Foot ambush at April's apartment. Even when they're all on the farm and practicing together when Raph recovers. These are from the first movie. At the moment nothing comes to mind in the 2nd, although Don totally flings the canister when the Foot ninja trips his chair.

They need to use napkins (1) after eating 'za, and wipe off the grease!

Nostalgia is great in small doses. I can't watch this movie more than once a year or so, but I WILL enjoy it.

The ones on his head look like cigar burns, actually. Talk about cheap detailing.

Keep in mind that Casey did see him on the roof before the attack. Then later he helps the turtles escape. The sais weren't on his person; however, they may have been in his bag of weapons.

I just have to say that Im amongst the few (and I know Tokka is another one of the few) who loves this movie. TMNT III is my fave amongst the 4 films. I know people don't like it but I don't care. I love it.

It had great moments:

1: Raph befriending the village kids, especially Yoshi
2: Mike and Mitsu
3: "Norinaga? Name rings a bell.."
4: "Hockey??? Hockey!!"
5: "Elvis presley!"
6: "Ohio Wasabi!" "Hello Mustard?"
7: "Bungy jumping without a bungy.. tsk tsk tsk..."
8: Raph discovering he loves nature
9: "Yeah, you look familiar too..."

Yes the costuming was a bit weird. But the overall story was just awesome. Maybe it's cuz Im into time travel? Who knows. Oh and I'd also like to point out that if you look at Tim Kelleher (movie 3 Raph) the Raph head looks exactly like him.

If Renet had been in it tho people like me who had never even HEARD of the Mirage books would have been majorly confused.

I know this is off topic, but for the first movie, in the comic version (which may mean it was a deleted scene in the movie, who knows if we'll ever find out), there are a few panels where Raph is either sharpening his sais or making new ones (much like Leo made new swords in the 2k3 episode "Monster Hunter").

Well, a Foot tossed them over the side of the roof. Did they get caught on the fire escape (a la Mike's chucks in the finale)? Did they end up on the sidewalk? Maybe Casey grabbed them before making his appearance (but would he have known they were Raph's? R didn't break them out in the park when they met.), or one of the guys saw them as they skedaddled.

I didn't mind the third one, honestly. It was loosely based on one of the Mirage stories and Walker was a good villain. The only things I didn't like about it were the animatronics, some of the sappy acting, and the use of Casey.

Funny thing I was a little kid when I first saw this. I actually remember sitting in the theater watching it. For years it was my favorite of the turtle movies. I think it was because Shredder (in the 1st movie but not the 2nd go figure) scared me when I was little and it helped that this movie was the only one of them where nothing bad happened to my favorite Raph (almost killed in 1st, kidnapped in 2nd). I also liked the armor they wore. Of course it isn't my favorite now. I know it's not bad. But I can't hate it. The little kid in me won't let me. Plus I've seen worse.
