I tend to wonder the same thing myself.

For the same reason the Masked Rider and the MMPR teamed up at the beginning of MMPR Season 3. The only difference this time is that TNM had already started. They're both Saban shows.

Do we know of any other edits that were made like in the first set? there was some missing dialog, I'm not talking about the replaced music.

Well that I didn't mind, since I had no problem with Masked Rider as silly as it was, and even that teamup. Strangely enough though, I had no intention of watching Masked Rider until I saw the teamup. Then I watched the show (mainly because I wanted to see if the Power Rangers might make an appearance at some point) and found that I could actually sit through it all. I can't say the same about TMN though. I only made it up to the 15th episode and decided I've seen enough.

Yeah, I told you it was strange.

I hear you on that!! Masked Rider was better then TNM. I liked TNM's fight scenes and Bonesteel, that's about it.

It's funny, Saban crossed over Masked Rider and Power Rangers decades before Toei got around to doing Kamen Rider vs Super Sentai:

I'm sure they could throw the Ninja Turtles in there somewhere, lol.

I rather love crossovers, and wouldn't mind seeing another one down the road. Of course, I would like the series to be good prior to crossing over, lol.

I really do need to see this at some point. I only ever saw the crossover episodes, as I never knew this show existed until years later. Should be fun.

What's the cheapest place online to find this? Amazon has it for $15 but that's still too much for something I know I won't enjoy much.

I'm hoping to find it for somewhere for about $10.

The cheapest price I can find it for is around $14.99 or so, which isn't too bad. But like you, I don't know if this is a DVD set I would revisit time and time again. I imagine I still will pick them up over the holidays, though.

I paid $12.99 at Target in-store if that's any help.

So I've been watching the DVD now, and while some episodes have decent concepts, they're just executed terribly. I just can't get over the awful sound effects and the, "dumb downed" nature of the villains and the way the Turtles act.

Its funny, because you watch the original cartoon which was aimed at kids yet it managed to make everything work. Even though Shredder, Krang, etc. were bumbling half the time and always lost, they did it in a way where it actually worked.

"Wick" is a typical annoying sidekick villain that just reeks of poorly made kids shows. And the way Silver's henchmen overreact remind me of the 60's Batman cartoon. I also don't like how the Rank are so incompetent that they bump into each other and fall over one another.

I do like Andre and the concepts of a good dragon were nice, but it was just written badly every other way.

You overlooked another thing.

On the episode, Good Dragon, the fight scene had Mikey playing the organ! Man, wish I had screencaps of that & when he's playing the drums!
