Many people are really taking this show seriously. Many people expect it to be the action fighting show of the century. The point of this show was to just make people laugh (and to sell the toys), and I think people haven't seen that.

For example, some wonder why Bebop and Rocksteady are so iconic, and when people reply back saying they're dumb and that's what makes them funny and iconic, and some reply back saying "That's dumb. They don't pose as a threat, why are they in TMNT?" Here's a good reason: the other villains didn't really pose as a threat, either. Bebop and Rocksteady made most of the comedy out of the show, and I don't think people really get that besides the mini-series and the red-sky seasons, the show was to make people smile, laugh, and to sell some toys.

Just had to get that out.

I agree. Which is why I'm not really invested in any TMNT shows.

Wow, I didn't think any Dromer here took the OT that seriously. I figured we all loved the show for its blend of action and silliness. Bebop and Rocksteady were more of a threat in the 1st season, but once the show went down a more light-hearted route, they were mainly comedy relief. And I think that's how we always loved them, as the comedic dimwits that they were.
