I consider the Nick series and Transdimensional Turtles to be canon to the OT but not Turtles Forever. Just my personal views.

You are correct, in the episode "Michealangalo's Birthday" from the OT, Krang confirms that his army of stone warriors were created as a result of ordinary rocks being mutated.

Transdimensional Turtles on the other hand in my opinon, has a much more authentic feel overall, from the original voice actors returning, to the portrayal of the OT (fun and lighthearted with all their puns but competent and skilled fighters who knew when to be serious), and the new twist added to Krang's origins, giving the Nick universe of having a sense of involvement with the OT universe since the very beginning. I don't think continuity is an issue here for TF. For all we know, Krang and Shredder could've repaired the technodrome after season 10 and the turtles might've accidentally zapped themselves with the ray from "Leonardo Lighten's Up" Last edited by FredWolfLeonardo; 06-17-2016 at 02:05 PM. |

Like any other tmnt media, the point of turtles forever or even TT for the audience is first and foremost, fun. Canon or not canon, Ive really enjoyed them both and thats what matters to me the most.

I consider the new crossovers to be canonical, and since those episodes establish that the Kraang and the Utroms are tribes of the same race (with the Utroms being the originator), I am willing to accept that Krang is an Utrom himself.
The whole body thing for me is pretty clear, and this is just how I see it. Utroms use android bodies consistently throughout every incarnation. Krang uses an android body. Therefore the whole "build me a new body"/"exiled from my body" thing is null. Krang is an Utrom whose pride and dignity lays within his existence inside a superior android body. The lizard thing I feel was either non-canon, or perhaps a result of Krang's meddling with genetics in that episode, that caused his clones to evolve into a more advanced version of his species. Perhaps Utroms in ten thousand years would look like that?... |

Whether or not I agree, it is really cool to see something like this discussed on a popular youtube channel.

So, the lizards would be the Utroms several million years previously in their planet's history, and for whatever reason, nature saw fit to select them out to being tiny and mostly limbless.

I think it's heavily implied he had a body. There is nothing else in the series that said he didn't have one, other than that one episode where we saw other members of his race in bubble walkers. Everything else indicates that he had a physical body.
He seemed pretty distraught over the whole thing, which would make more sense if he had a physical body as opposed to a robotic body and the numerous times where he proclaims that his brain is all that he's got left. He was always like that, he probably wouldn't say something like that. He would also mention things like hands and ears. He would say something like "If I had hands, I'd cover my ears, if I had them" That kind of implies he did have hands and ears at one point. Krang created CLONES of himself and due to the cloning process they began growing bodies. If they were always brain-like aliens, why would they even grow reptilian bodies to begin with. They were all reptiles and I don't think it's a coincidence because Krang would croak numerous times, kind of like a lizard or other reptiles. Even Beserko didn't really recognize him until he overheard Donatello calling him Krang and remarked that he had a body the last time they met. I think it's much more likely that he had a body. When you add it all up and put two and two together, it begins to make more sense. |

I remember there was a concept for a Krang toy, which depicted him before he lost his body. It was a big muscled monster, with detachable head, which looked like Krang.
I think it was one of those concepts which never had been realized and it looked nothing like "krangazoids" from cartoon. |

I think Krang's species start off as brain like creatures (as shown in the flashback of Four Musketurtles). At some point in their lifetimes, they grow bodies (as shown in Invasion of the Krangazoids). As Krang stated, when he was banished to Earth, his body split. Leaving him in his original brain like state.

I remember him saying "If I had hands, I'd cover my ears, if I had them." That kind of implies he did have a body and did have hands and ears before it was taken away from him. If he was always a brain, why would he say that?
That and he croaks and makes noises similar to a reptile. |
