So that wasn't the real Snakeweed who fused together with The Creep and is now locked in a box, right?

This episode was fine for me. Didn't catch Raph being maskless, but that's pretty cool to see for the fans who wanted to see that in The Creep's debut episode. Mikey was just being an annoying little brother, but he did save the day in the end, and he did say that he does pay attention to science stuff. Still, I think it was more dumb luck on his part that saved Donnie just like the retro-mutagen was. But at least it worked. Dumb Donnie was great and Rob knocked it out of the park. When The Creep grabbed Leo and his eyes rolled back, I gasped and yelled out, "Not my boy!" My mom laughed at that. And I named it Creepweed right before Mikey did and when he named it, I yelled out, "I said it first, Mikey!" Overall, a very interesting episode, and you know the Creepweed is not done yet.

I didn't like this episode at all. Unfortunately I have to take back what I just said in another thread about all the filler in this show being better than a majority of Ultimate Spider-Man's episodes, because I found Mikey's actions in this one as stupid as how DrakeBell!Spider-Man was in his infamous third episode.

Mikey seriously needs to grow the heck up fast because that immature little screw up of his almost killed everyone in New York, including his brothers.

Also, the jokes were fine....I guess. I'm just disappointed...It's cool that people like it, that's fine with me. I just wish this wasn't right after me praising the show's writing.

Isn't that every episode when he screws up? He saves the day toward the end?
then he screws up again...then saves the day.....wash rinse and repeat?

what are you talking about he has saved the day countless times. Dimension X Mikey during the kraang invasion during the first half of season 3. Also Whenever Mikey screws up he somehow saves the day in the end which is like all the filler episodes

This episode felt too similar to a lot of other episodes, and it coming directly after the Mega Shredder episode when they fought another giant mutant made this one redundant.

Snakeweed and The Creep have no character at all so they're just bland monster mutants. Its nice to see them but they can't carry the "A" story of an episode. They should have just been a subplot to some other main arc in the episode

Uhh...they were. LOL

What part of a main character's brain cells rotting wasn't the main arc of the episode?

I would give this episode a 6.5/10. It was very "meh".
The highlight was most definitely Dumb Donnie. Everything he did was hilarious and stuff I'd never thought I'd see Donnie do. What was the Pinky and the Brain reference that some people have said is in the episode and some have said it isn't?
"I like French Fries!!" should have been on that voting thing at the top. I was laughing so hard! Or maybe "Oooo...Squirrellll!"
I just wished Dumb Donnie was the sole conflict of the episode. It was funny, entertaining, and new, so naturally I wanted to see more of it. Because of the Creep/Snakeweed marriage, this Dumb Donnie scenario felt like a wasted idea that could have had so much more laughs. While it was nice to touch up on some old villains (not that I care for them, but the show needs to refresh its memory on the bad guys sometimes), think about what an episode with Dumb Donnie as the sole conflict would be like:
  • The problem could have arose from something besides the default "Mikey Makes a Mistake" trope
  • There would be full detail of Donnie's slow descent as the others rush to cure him before it's too late
  • Tension builds as Donnie goes from merely saying dumb things and being absent-minded to actually becoming a danger to himself, while completely forgetting who his family is
  • A plot twist as Donnie becomes so brain-dead that he starts to attack his family, literally "fighting without thinking"
  • More time for Mikey to create an actual cure, intelligently reading Donnie's notes and taking some guesses, as the others hold back the relentless Donatello
  • A final fight scene with Donnie, with April managing to calm him down with her powers while Mikey administers the cure

Overall, I find that idea much more interesting, with some tweaking. Fillers can and have been great.

My favorite moment of the episode was when April brought up Splinter's magic "healing mantra" as a quick solution to Donny's problem, and Splinter just deadpanned with "highly doubtful."

So many little continuity references in this episode! Really nice work on the writing.

And it was nice to see the Snakeweed design again even if it wasn't quite the original.

To be honest, at the beginning, I was not happy to see Donnie acting absent-minded and seeing Mikey again act so inmature, but then the episode was with full of action and it was funny at the end.

But I suggest this: Could Nickelodeon make Mikey like IDW Mikey? I want to see that in the show. Mikey is the heart and soul of the team, not the clown.

Mikey's an idiot here and was an annoying prick at times in 2K3 because it's what kids like. The most common review I've heard or overheard kids give either show is "Mikey's funny".

Mikey appeared goofy in this episode but, redeems himself when he made the antidote for Donny.

I enjoyed Rob Paulsen channeling his inner Pinky and all, but seriously, Mikey pushed me to my limit this episode. How in the hell hasn't Splinter, much less Donnie banned Mikey from the various dangerous chemicals in the lab?

Yes, Mikey has helped in the past with the Super Retromutagen; but he also has screwed up a lot of other things in the past. I kept waiting for someone to just deck Mikey; and if not for Donatello running around like a maniac (admittedly enjoyable) I'm sure Raph would have.

The best parts were the Friday the 13th references with the Creep.

I really hope playmates reconsiders making a Creep action figure now. This episode was awesome! The Creep & Snakeweed team up was freaking sweet & the grasskicker vehicle shooting out of the party wagon was also really cool. This episode instantly became one of my faves!
