Wrong. I'm correcting false information. It would like if you said "the world is flat, you know". I simply reply, "Umm... not quite." Why?? Because your spewing erroneous information, plain and simple.

The problem with the kind of thinking above is that because somebody thinks their precious little ego holds onto a false conception of the world that that somehow means their views shouldn't be questioned or confronted. I'm sorry if you emotionally believe the world is flat, but it just isn't so. The same goes for a lot of the BS I've been correcting lately.

Try and keep an open mind.

Oh and about the Turtles' weapons, why the hell do Donatello and Michelangelo have bandages over their bo and nunchaku? that's pretty damn pointless if you ask me.

well, i doubt you mean me cuz i barely participated in this topic, i never said "hey, sais are really sharp and pointy" i don't really say stuff i'm not sure about, cuz i haven't read most of the mirages, and by the way you reply you do sound like you were correcting everybody, with you "correct" information *chuckles*

How'd you come to that conclusion? While some people have had suffered a broken jaw from nunchakus, many have been decapitated by katanas, or any other sword for that reason.

It takes approx. 8 pounds of presure to break a human bone.
A pair of nunchucks in the hands of a master can potentialy generate approx. 80 pounds of presure.
Do the math. I don't know about you, but given the choice I'd much rather be run through with a sword than have my skull bashed to bits.

Aside from that, gangs use nunchucks. Not swords. So in some circles showing nunchucks on a children's show is glorifiying gang lifestyle. Not saying that I agree with that, but that's the way some people think.

That's why Mikey didn't use nunchucks on The Next Mutation. He used tonfas, which I think are pretty cool weapons. (By the way, if me saying this causes this thread to become another whiny "I hate The Next Mutation thread, I'll have to destroy you all).

Ninja wasnt a banned word, it was just that at the time, there was a ninja street gang in London and they didnt want to glorify ninjas, which is very stupid 'cause things like that are happening all the time, and loadsa cartoons are to do with kung-fu.

That is because most of the "information" you are referring to is wrong. I'm sorry, but contrary to the contentions of extreme postmodernism, just because you believe something doesn't make it empirically true.

No, I give out correct facts to correct misinformation.

This isn't some nebulous or controversial "Is there a God??" debate here. Its simple history. Sai are not sharpened. The design for Leonardo's swords (based on length and the design of the tsuba) is that of a ninja-to. Ninja can't hold their breath for four hours.

If you have a problem with all of this, then you very simply have a problem with reality.

Your definition of having an "open mind" seems to really be "no one is more 'right' or 'correct' than another, there are no 'facts' in the world. He's got a point. Chain weapons *can be* visciously more effective than blades. It depends on the person, though, really.
