Also, "gave birth" is a fem term and not used lightly. You could use "made out of dung or something" [humus] instead as a mayle alternative. This is similar to the way the man-made mayle god that they imagined created Adam (humanity) from humus. But I don't want to fry anyone's head here, so I won't dive deeper. Sometimes, I feel that IDW Splinter and Shredder are both closeted. Saki's repeated attempts to harm those around Yoshi were simply to see him suffer. Yoshi was willing to sacrifice his life to save Saki, even though Saki had murdered him and his family, he didn't care how his sons would face his death.

Wasn't there a woman involved? Or did that not make it to IDW canon? I can't recall.... I stopped buying at issue 50 and it's been years since I read any of them.
