We're been through this Zarius, I've decided to watch the episode before I judge. I'm just pointing out flaws in the reason Laird gave. Yes, monsters on Godzilla are fictional, but what about the humans in the buildings they destroy? I believe that would count as mass murder, worse than cutting off one man's head.

You never see any bodies and besides, there is always the infamous line made famous by Dragonball Z and Power Rangers

If you are trying to justify the destruction of all those towers, that's the lamest thing I've ever heard. You can't see people because they are inside the towers. Or burried by the rubble.

What about the old animated series of the turtles, in Enter: The Fly Baxter shot dead two of his captures.

Oh, jeeez Jarrah...

Physically SEEING is what we're talking about. You can imagine the people dying in the buildings if you want, but the actual visuals are not there, which is the part that tends to freak some people out. That's the kind of stuff that gets censored on TV so it is viewable for more of an audience.

Like when you close your eyes during a scary part in a movie, when someone is ie: graphically getting torn apart, decapitated, etc, you will be less traumatized than if you kept your eyes open to watch it. Unless the producers pull off the sound FX so well that it makes people cringe regardless of the picture.

When the monster crashes through the buildings you do not know if people live or not, so it's really up to the audience to decide, and move on.

Please think a little more and use some common sense when you're in a discussion or it makes you look like you don't know what you're talking about.

Either you:
enjoy arguing for the sake of arguing,
like to hear yourself talk,
are naive,
or a mix of all the above.

And I am not bashing you here, I like some of your posts. I'm just getting a little annoyed at some of your arguments 'cause you just don't seem to listen or want to learn from others.

Look, it is simply my opinion, I believe such a death scene can be shown on such TV shows. I won't go on, but I will say this, perhaps if we don't see Shredder's head fall off, only hear it. You know, Leonardo turns around, we hear Shredder's head fall off. Or maybe if they only show the shadow of the head coming off. That'll be all from me

Jarrah White: I haven't seen the second Season yet, but I understand Shredder reveals himself to be a Utrom in the new show. It's lead to a lot of controversy. Just a question, why did you make Shredder an alien brain in the new show?

Peter Laird: Sigh. I've already answered this one a number of times. We did not "make Shredder an alien brain". The Utroms are not "alien brains" -- they are aliens who have brains, but they are not brains per se. You -- like many fans of the old show -- confuse that show's bastardization of the Utrom concept (Krang, who -- sort of kind of if you squinted with one eye covered -- looked almost maybe like an Utrom, but who was actually -- literally -- a brain yanked from an alien warlord's body) with the actual Utroms, which I think (and I know I'm biased) are a superior concept.
Now, if you were to ask why we made the Shredder into an UTROM (not an "alien brain), there are several reasons, including the fact that the way we plotted it out, it worked to tie the actual origin of the Turtles into the a history related to the Shredder, which we thought was a cool idea. Plus, it allowed us to do things -- like the decapitation scene -- which we otherwise absolutely could NEVER have done on Saturday morning TV.
Hey Jarrah, how you doing buddy? Well anyway I've been MIA for awhile and I was wondering where is the other interview where he talks about this subject because I would love to read it. Anyway I think the new Shredder is an excellent idea and it really connects all the characters and general story in a really nice way!! It's still the same old samauri ass kicking Shredder we all know and love

Ok I guess Australian television is different than in the states or Canada. Although Canada has less strict requirements for television censorship than the US.
I just realized you are from Australia, my bad.

That could probably be why you feel that way so we'll leave it at that. And if they ever start making TMNT uncensored over there, send it this way

There it is in alls its glory. I just made it I whould make it longer showing his head bounce but that would be to large. Id say thats pretty decent decapation for a Saturday morning kids show on Foxbox
EDIT: Might I mention thats Austrilla is WAY censored. They banned Dirt Bike jumping and they even banned all video games with a M rating. Thats pretty harsh if you think about it. I think they banned movies too but m not to sure on that one, but I do know about the bikes and the games

I remember in Australia that feature in GTA where you could pick up hookers was removed.

Anyone else think that Ch'rell should've just been Krang?
I mean why make a new evil utrom if you already had Krang that would've actually had a fun backstory and whatnot.

Back then I didn't mind having Ch'rell not be krang, I understood it wanted to do something different and actually liked that he wasn't.
But now I just think it would've been better, the people who hated 2k3 because it wasn't the 87 cartoon would've still hated it but you never had their support. Laird was just too stubborn.
It's just sad that Ch'rell for the most part is just now a random forgotten character in the TMNT lore, and I think if Krang had been Shredder people would remember that version of Shredder/Krang a lot more nowadays.

Krang sucks, you should not just make the "evil utrom" character same as the whiny little burp loser just because he was a thing people remember.

The only consistent aspect for Krang through the multiverse is that he commands the Technodrome and is not afraid to commit genocide. Ch’rell does check both of those boxes, technically. So I would say he more or less is the Krang of the 4kids universe.
