His reaction is fantastic. He seems to be just as much a fan as he is an actor in the thing. Its great to see such a passionate young actor love to be one of the co-stars of the film.

I actually really like how "normal" John Boyega looks. I mean he looks like the kind of kid who used to go to my High School when I was younger. He seems down to Earth like he's also a fan and not just an actor. He's just a normal guy, not some A-list Hollywood bandwagoner.

I think people are forgetting this guys face will be immortalized in Star Wars canon forever. They're making toys of him, his face will be drawn in comics and novels for decades to come. Even when he's old, just look at all the new comics featuring Luke/Han/Leia where the artists draw them based on the real-life likeness of the actors when they were younger.

Its weird, I don't think the gravity of being in Star Wars has really settled in for these new actors. Its not some one and done thing, their faces will be iconic in Star Wars history for literally the next 50+ years.

Daisy Ridley is also going to have a new wave of young boys 12-17 crushing on her when this movie comes out. She'll be a feminist role model for young girls, and boys will be crushing on her because she's cute as well.

Rey might very well become one of the most popular Star Wars characters of all time. Having a female lead really does makes sense because both young boys and girls will want to see her.

So since Luke is being kept under wraps, what sort of plot twist are we expecting with him? Leia seems to have a minor supporting role, Han will be with Rey and Finn most of the time, what of Luke?

Anybody read the Shattered Empire comics? They were pretty cool and starred Poe Dameron's mother. I doubt they'll be "essential" to read before The Force Awakens, but I recommend them.

I would like to read the comics but I don't want to spend the money to read them. It would feel cheap just to go to a comic store and browse through them and put them back on the rack. So I really have no options.
