I still think they need a turtle movie in which they USE their weapons rather than trip people or whatever, well a bo can do that, but not at Katana.....CHOP SOMETHING IN HALF LEO!!!!!!! GRRRRRRR, I think the cartoon Splinter was lovable, the movie one was likable.......

The movie would need to be PG 13 for having violence like that. And Movie studios usually don't want to limit ther audience especially in the case TMNT. The new cartoon is Targeted for kids.

yeah, but all of the kids (almost) that were in love with the turtles and actually know who they are and such are now old enough to watch a rated R movie........so since the audience has grown up, maybe a shot of making the movies grown up?? It'd be interesting to say the least.

Well the first movie was pretty close to original mirage comics. Well it wasn't that violent but the TMNt used ther weapons. The Movie was good. But parent's didn't like it. It was too dark etc.

If TMNT becomes hit again as a children's cartoon, I doubt they are going to make a violen movie. We can always hope of course.

Yeah, they used their weapons, but all I remember Leo doing was tripping a dude and sticking them in the ceiling (turtles 2), hmmmm....yeah since a NEW cartoon is coming out the hopes of a semi-bloody movie in which Leo at least chops an arm off is out of the question. I just really hope this cartoon doesnt become another Pokemon......I dont want to hate it!!!

Well Leo hit Shredder in to arm in the first movie. And because the new cartoon is based on Mirage, it will suitable for all ages. In the Interview the maker have said that TMNT actually will use their weapons in it. But we will have to see if thats true.

*HOPING* Oh yeah, I forgot Leo actually cut something I think they should have a scene with Splinter shooting arrows like Legolas on Lord of the Rings.........he needs some time in the spotlight. Rather than being some anamatronic garbage that never walks OR runs......do some flips buddy!!!!

"10 flips now!"

Yeah if the new cartoon turns into something stupid, some people are going to have to give alot of answers. Because all the turtle fans I know will riot. Please don't be stupid and stay away from the next mutation or whatever you called that crap at all costs.

Laird didn't like Next mutation, and so the new cartoon will be nothing like it. It is said that it's taken straight from Mirage, But of course, since its a children's cartoon, some compromises will be made. Personally I wonder how they will do the origin story. If it was too violent fro the old cartoon. are things so diffrent now?

How come the big thing that is discussed here is wether or not a rat can learn ninijitsu, and not the at least equally big thing: in the cartoon origin Yoshi is alive!!

That's a really good point, I never really thought of it that way. Maybe, that is the more important question?

Mmm Karpo Karpo is again right..I agree..even if I also found out about the comics way later ( I grew up with the cartoon yes!!)
I also agree that the Cartoon version is more realistic, but that mutatiing stuff got carried away to far on the cartoon,
The whole idea was that the Turtles were lucky cause its a small change that the mutation goes succesfull

The fact of the (comic) Ooze aout creatures evolving then makes more sense to me. (Splinter was just a special pet )
