I don't think Leatherhead is necessarily smarter than Stockman. Like the big croc said last week he probably wouldn't have been able to get as far in his research if he didn't have Donnie's. Dang I don't have time to give a "proper" reply to say what I liked and didn't like but ugh. Karai. I did not like how they are writing her.

*stormy expression* The last time I liked the writing for her was "Exodus". But you knew that...

They are starting to make her look like a joke. Especially her falling to her knees and screaming "NOOO!!!" Lamely in front of the Foot Elite. I wanted to cover my face in embarrassment.

She's really pitiful, in more ways than one. She's just completely insane. She's not gonna be able to stay like this with out crumbling to bits at some point.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that scene with Mikey nearly getting skewered. What was that? Was it the crystal or the mystics? I don't really get what happened there.

A little of both, I think. While Mike had the medallion, they were in his service, even though he didn't know it. They were obligated to protect him. Obviously, they have ways of getting around that, but, as Mask said, it was in their best interest.

I think that's the point now, Karai is a joke compared to Saki. She trying to be as bad as her father, but isn't doing a really good job at it.

Gee, you know, she should give up, and be their ally or something. :p

I DID sort of like that they gave more spotlight to Leatherhead in this arc. He was kind of the hero in this one, with Donnie unable to make a cure Leatherhead had to step up to the plate.

Leatherhead was really good in this arc. I wonder if he'll be sticking around at all?

I am really curious about what's going to happen with Karai... if she doesn't just fade ineffectually away. And we've only got one ep to go for this season? :p

3. If the Turtles hadn't meddled, the end result of Shredder's banishment would have probably been the same, but Karai would be able to place blame where it belongs--namely, with the Utroms. The Turtles meddled, and as far as Karai's concerned, they were sent by the Utroms to stall her father as long as possible, so the Utroms could move into position to do that time-freezing trick and capture everyone.

That sounds like a good argument at first, but then I thought about it a little more and came up with this:

Also, why in God's name would someone who's as genetically fubar as the Minnetonka Mutant be more stable than one of the Turtles? Sure, the Turtles have already been mutated, but the new mutagen is acting on only their bizarre genetic structure. In the case of the Minnetonka Mutant, it's acting on a mix of AT LEAST human and cockroach DNA. God only knows what else was thrown into that particular genetic cocktail.

And as long as I'm being a nitpicky and annoying little putz...what the heck was up with the Allosaurus/Tyrannosaurus-like head that mutant Don grew? I know that was inspired by what happened to Raph in the comics. I just don't get where they came up with that one.

These are some of the more plausible parts, IMPO. But to your first question, it does make sense. And to your second, who knows? Maybe that's how it works.

I didn't have the opportunity to read these comic books, but I have a related question for anyone who has:

Not exactly sure if they're actual Vamps. but yes... Raph became Gameraph after the bite from the "vampires" caused the mutagen in his bloodstream to activate, causing the secondary mutation.

See the Mutagen is always there. It never left them. Even in the original series near the end the mutagen was going wakko and causing secondary mutations.

This episode was real cool, but I definatly don't think they can wrap everything up in one episode on saturday...that would be lame if the "real" shredder(s) get beat in one episode.

And I guess nobody is as immature as me, cause I definatly lol'ed when Karai kneeled with her legs spread and said GIVE IT TO ME, NOW!!!

She's still a newbie Shredder though. Saki had a lot more experience than her.
She's also only human and doesn't have the physical strength that the Utrom Shredder had.

Great episode! I don't have too many words for it. I just thought they executed this episode well. I liked the whole espionage aspect of this episode! And wow... I guess the Mystics are free, now! I always wondered how the original Shredder was.
