In the US Archie comics, it was from issue 7, set on the Stump Asteroid http://www.ninjaturtles.com/comics/archie/07/07.htm.

Don't suppose anybody knows what issue that was? Would love to get my hands on it!
That does seem to be a memorable one. It was discussed here http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/sho...662#post412662. It was issue #61 but I'm unsure were anyone could get their hands on it.

These are Dutch yes, but the covers where used all over Europe. I've seen some old UK and German comics on ebay that also had these same covers.

I LOVE that cover! Yet, a third variation on a familiar image!

And thanks for getting back into these, Buffy. I really appreciate the description of the contents as well, especially if I ever get a chance to pick up some of these issues.

haha turtle butt, creepy...
The colors in the norwegian print of "hreo turtles" went ape sh*t sometimes, especially in one issue where krang change colors 2-3 times in one page.

i think Tokka got some scans from it on his flickr page.

1991 UK Hero Turtles Special

I picked up a Hero Turtles Special from 1991. It's pretty neat!

It's full color and contains some pretty neat stuff: a couple of original short comics, an original novella style story, pictures of the Disney MGM Turtles stage show, well-illustrated profiles of major characters, and some cheesy kiddie games.

Some samples:

Heck, I think I have a few of those annuals... they're not in English, though.

Dude, I've really been looking for the 1992 annual! I have the 1990 and 1991 editions, but I'd really love to see some of any others that may exist, in any language!

I'll have to see what I have. I don't think I've seen them since I moved about a year and a half ago, so either A) they're still floating around at my parents' place (which means I won't see them until Jesus returns wielding a sword) or B) they're in a box somewhere here in my apartment, in which I'll find it the day before Jesus returns, wielding a sword.

They've probably been translated into many languages.

Yet another reason for me to quote Revelation 22:20 in agreement with St. John.
