Even if they changed the paint jobs a little, I'm still interested in the re-releases of the figures. I think the original four turtles are the best looking versions, because they are a nice blend of the comic and the TV series (they're wearing the cartoon colors, but the facial expressions reflect the "attitude" of the comics).

They need to reissue some pants on that Shredder.

Wacky Action Shredder = Super Shredder (with some new parts obviously) so I feel like his potential was realized since they made 3 million or more Super Shredder figures.

They also need to reissue a body for Krang or he's going to be complaining like in those first 5 episodes.

Giant Size Krang would be awesome. In his original box too. That would rock.

Um No Wacky Action Shredder is a brand new sculpt that came way before Super Shredder. It's closer to the old Toon Shredder than even the first release Shredder is.

I think you misunderstood. Someone mentioned Wacky Shredder never got his props, but he was retooled into Super Shredder. If you don't believe me put them side by side. It's the same torso, waist, legs, and arms with a different head (and obviously more armor added to Super Shredder) with some sculpting done over the holes in the arms. And Super Shredder is arguably one of the most common Shredder toys, so in a way he did get his props.

Shoot the images won't hotlink here, they're from the official site so they're most likely yours anyway so you know what I'm talking about.

Things that give it away are: the part of the suit hanging out the back, the hands, the bandages, and the leg position.

More figures may be re-released if these do well just so you all know.
I meant in the specific figures he listed getting he did not say slash.

I didn't realize it until you said something, but you're absolutely right.

I cant believe you didn't notice that before. Playmates was notorious for retooling old molds, such as Slash into Tokka, Mitsu into Shogun April and Lord Norinaga into Shogun Shredder just to name a few.

With Playmates, it anytime from mid next year to never. They don't give release dates (and love to pull stuff), but my best guess is summer of 2009.

several people on this thread mentioned that wacky action slice'ndice shredder should be "re-tooled" into a cartoon version shredder. unfortunately, Slice'ndice Shredder wouldn't meet the appropriate height requirements:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3078/...67bf55.jpg?v=0
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3235/...953951.jpg?v=0

he would be too small, about the same height of the tmnt & splinter, which is unacceptable. well i wont even worry about it as there's no reason for me to buy any of the re-release seeing that i already have all of them in original packaging, and loose, doubles of some.

also, I dont know if anyone else noticed, but in re-realeases they can sometimes screw up the figure, mainly the paint jobs. im thinking here of a '98 KB re-release Donatello. the purple was WAY too dark, compared to the the original '88 release. also, figurewise, the 4 tmnt '98 kb re-releases that i got, when stood next to original '88 softhead and hardhead releases, are notably shorter in height. whacky.

I also think that slice and dice shredder looks sort of stupid in the face. Although his stance is a lot better!

Told ya! To be honest I just realized it a year ago and I had both figures as a kid. Say what you want about Playmates, but their reuse of molds were creative and never really stood out as a reused figure. Not like Transformers or GI Joe or DC figures or Playmates of today. The majority of classic TMNT figures were brand new sculpts. And when they weren't they were usually retooled extensively.
