Yes, but just because our goverment allows the people to say these things, they always deny or say and do exactly different things. It's all about hypocrisy. If you were told you can't speak your mind from a certain person, how would you feel? You'd dislike him, or even hate him. Same goes for our country. If the country allows us to speak our mind, who's going to listen? Look at some of the people here on the boards, they don't care about facts the point to the US country being the not so great goverment that is the peverbial poltical war machine full of hypocrites and lying CEOs.

Been watching the news too, plus my husband is pretty head-strong about the whole war thing as Donatello02 (surprisingly enough). He's okay with American freedoms... but hubby does not like the American government and the way they stick their noses into other country's affairs.

And the main reason that France is not supporting our war, is because they are protecting their income. They have good standing with the oil trade in Iraq. They go to war, they loose that.

It's not really about Peace or War... but Profit or Freedom. Greed or Justice. There seems to not be one, without the other. Power struggles are what makes the world go round, I guess.
