If you are going to post preview info, put a spoiler warning.

The episode was truly great! Excellent writing, beautiful animation, Utroms... Maybe the best episode yet.

wow, yet another great ep i loved donny's one liner, "well he's got a point"

i noticed tha armor had the body cavity, hmmm but didn't saki call it an "artifact" ? i really am curious how saki's linked to the utroms. i imagine because the utrioms front as scientists, that he had some business association with them, not that he knows they're aliens.. i was wonderin' the utrom at the end said that their enemies knew of their exixstance, but when did saki learn of them? or anybody else? maybe i missed something. i actually kinda like that they didn't explain what happened to baxteer, i'm sure the official reason is the kids, but it's kinda cool to leave this stuff to the imagination.

now to answer some of phandral's questions

3. This has been buggin me since 1985: how is it that Donatello is so technically inclined...a GENIUS if you will????He just capriciously invents all these magnificent devices without any formal engineering training and such. I used to attribute it as a side effect of the mutation, but if there ever was any formal disclosure on that situation, I'd LOVE to know about it!

4. Where the fump do the turtles get their money?!?!?

1. here's an excerpt from casey's profile on the oficial tmnt website." I started weight training and bought some martial arts books "

2. neither casey or splinter freaked out too much cuz both had prior knowledge of each other

3. maybe don's technical abilities are exaggerated, but if ya think about it he could actually be that intelligent. ever since he was little i imagine he'd be takin stuff apart and putting it back together, virtually anything he could find. and i'm sure he read up on it a little, i'm sure there are tons of books in the dump or something. it's amazing what people will throw out

4. it's amazing what people will throw out

one thing i always was curious about the tmnt was where they got their ninja weapons. no one flushes a pair of katana down the toilet.

my personal theory on that is because hamato yoshi was an immigrant i imagine he doesn't have much money (in the first movie he woprked as a construction worker) so when he came to america i imagine his apartment would be a crappy one . so there's a possiblity that after he was killed nobody moved into it and his belongings remained. and y'know splinter finds four baby turtles and when they're young he and them make one trip to the surface to venture back to hamato's old apt. and find all these ninja supplies.

of course that's just a theory does anyomne have the official answer?

Like said before, Yoshi had Martial arts school, so he owned weapons too.

The episode had also one old joke from the first movie, the insult scene between Casey and Raph. Of course in the movie it was Don.

I give it 4 stars for good episode. I'd didn't exspect Stockman to appear again. The turtles may of not of known that Stockman created the cloaking Ninjas from that Utrom Suit a.k.a. "Barnicle Bill" . Oaku Saki mad over 1. Stockman's Mousers Destroyed
2. Techno Guys failed to get the Wave Sword

I guess Hun caused the black eye for Baxter. Casey's first time at the Sewer Lair. He just made himself at home. Splinter didn't like him interuping their training. This Time Raph meet Hun and Stockman getting punished by his Work. Saki is getting more ferrious with the Turtles. At the ending I thought it was the Purple Dragon's hide out but it was excelly The Utrom's Place. I can tell their not human by the way they talk. Well be seen more interesting moments soon. I'll wait till episode 8: Fallen Angel.

Yeah. It does have quite a few things from the old show.

And I loved seeing the statue of Liberty in the episode.

I thought this was a fantastic episode.
Lots of great humor, good action, plot development.
This is probably my favorite episode thus far. My only problem with it, was how much of a jerkass they made Casey out to be.

I know the ratings haven't been great, but this is a great show. Ratings will improve. The toys are selling very fast. At one point the target near me had all the toys. I had no money, so I figured I'd wait a week or 2. They had a very big selection. I went in recently, and everythins was gone, aside from a few of the roleplaying weapons.
Overall, I'm not worried about the show being canceled.

For the person asking about Don's technical prowess. I think it's a simple case of each brother having different personalities. Just like in a real family.
The turtles have tons of stuff, including DVD's and Tv's and such, is it too far fetched to belive that they might have come acorss books before? I'm sure Don has gotten his hands on tons of books over the years.

PS. Don't bother bringing up the plausability of then knowing how to read. Splinter gained intelligence, thus could teach himself.

But yeah, Great Episode.

First off, I finally got to see the end of last week's episode. Too cool. And I also checked before hand to make sure I had enough tape left. Didn't on that cassette, so I had to get another. No big, but I forgot about the "blank" tape for the first few inches, it cut of part of Raph's monologue, so gotta retape next week.

Okay, as for The Way of Invisibility...
- Whoa, Saki can move. This guy keeps getting scarier every time we see him. I love it!
- Poor Baxter. Not only an eyepatch, but scarring. See, that's what scarring looks like, just a shade or two lighter or darker than the skin. Now I'm positive Hun's "scratches" are tattoos, but there's a possibility they were done over existing scars.
- The "balance and invisibly" training was too cool. I love what these training sessions add to the show; that the guys are still training, still growing, still making mistakes. Nice touch.
- I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Casey is an idiot. I totally understand why Splinter and the others are upset, the guy's totally annoying, has no manners, and can't take a hint! 'Course, they've said that the character will grow and smooth out as the series continues, and I really hope it does, 'cause this Casey's getting on my nerves.
- The graffiti definitely raised my eyebrows. The artist in me must say; simple, yet dramatic. Nice designs.
- Loved Mikey's scream as Casey broke their DVD player. LOL! Nearly ripped my stitches. Literally. Plus his "And that's how they defeated 'The Thing That Wouldn't Leave!'" LOL - Ow!
- Cloaking Device! Klingons! As a Trek fan, I loved those references. Glad to see Mike's not the only one who makes them.
- Notice how Casey's all bruised up when he gets to the lair after the fight with the Foot Tech ninjas. Thought that was a nice touch.
- Punch Drunk Raph! LOL!
- During the fight at the whirlpool, I was really expecting some pole-balancing fights, a la the turtles' training lessons this ep, and I was disappointed. But Mikey's impersonation of Splinter, then saving Casey made up for it.
- Poor Baxter. Again!
- And we finally see the Utroms. In their human disguises, but come on, we all know it's them.

Next week looks like total action! And we finally get to see the guys "out of uniform"! Whoo hoo! *whistles*

Yeah, we geniuses are weird like that. Actually, the basics of electronics and engineering can be easily self-taught and after that, it's simply a matter of applying them. Some people are just talented! And that goes for turtles, too.

*counts on her fingers* Money and change that falls down the sewers. But I assume most of their stuff comes from trash and junk yards and Don just cleans it up. Possibly pawning or selling some of it off.

Gained some serious respect for casey in this ep, and I kinda hope we see him in the night vision googles some more.
The gak-face line was classic
DId any one else this that the human talking to the utoms kinds looked like Carter? Maybe his normal version crossed with his mutant version? Well it did to me
I was really kinda waiting for a House guests and pizza start to smell after 3 days kinda line.
I'm not sure about Shredder any more, the way he talks about his enemys, its not so far to believe that hes protecting earth from invading aliens. Ok the idea is sorta odd, but its kinda the vibe I'm picking up, his a bad guy but he's also tring to protect the earth (sorta like like Doc Doom helping to stop Onslaught way back when)
I'm also kinda seeing Shredder as a racist, when ever something goes wrong he beats the crap out of Baxter but leaves Hun alone even though it was sorta Huns fault too. That or he doesn't want to hurt his muscle and just wants to keep Baxters mind. Though at this rate their may not be much left of Baxter by the middle of the season, I think that up grade hes getting will be well needed

shredder himself said it was a good plan , and in reality it really was...chase down the other 3 turtles?...but baxters foot did fail..so he should of been the 1 to pay.

and i forgot who said it...but the tech Ninjas are robots....casey says it himself..."these guys arent human"...and baxter keeps calling them his creation.

Nope his creations were the outfits. Those were clearly humans in outfits. It has been said before that the Foot will not be robots in this series. Besides there bodies gave off heat, so we know they are real.

I think blaming the cratior for the actions of the creation is a bit harsh, and the torcher plan was good too, the guys would have looked for Raph eventually.

And they arn't robots, baxter calls them cyber armor, and that they increas their speed, strength and gives them invisability, thus making it the fault of both Hun and Baxter, his tech failed and Huns training was unsucesful

to the person that asked about the ooze being from outer space, wasn't it made by TCGI scientists?

Okay clearly one of the better eppisodes. I'm very excited now.
before the series started I bought a pack of eight hour tapes just for this.
I've got plenty of tape to go. )

very very funny. Mikey cracks me up more and more.

The thing that got me was Raph being captured. I once read this fan fiction a while back where Shredder rapes Raph after he's been captured in TMNT 2. I've never been able to watch that scene and not think of that again...and this time seeing Raph at the mercy of Hun...those thoughts came a rollin' back. I mean...its wired. If you're knocked out...anything could happen to you. Its just a really scary thought to me I guess.

but. all and all a GREAT eppisode. I keep drooling week after week to see what happens next. And next week we get to see the turtles look all teenager and stuff....the previews of their clothes fit their personality. No more pea coats and that dreded sailor look for them! (thank goodness)
