Hahaha. More horses*it. Reboots of Transformers and My Little Pony generate far more bucks and fans than any incarnation of the TMNT since the 80s ever could.

He-man failed, Thundercats will probably get canceled soon, and I doubt the new Voltron will do any good.
I would hate to see Thundercats get cancelled, bc it is actually good show

Yup and that episode wasn't even terrible, just bland.

But it has a famous person in it so I guess the internet needs to hate it.

I respect your opinion, but i dont agree, even if you dont like the 4kids series, Turtles forever was better than that episode of the simpsons. That was made in the last 10 years.

Well that's your problem man and I thought Turtles Forever was fine.

It's just when you compare the worst of the worst of Simpsons it doesn't come close to the level of bad that the worst TMNT has created.

I wasn't even really speaking about the quality of the show in the beginning. How the hell did I get roped into this?

You're Stryker. Everything you post must be twisted into tmnt hate, everything.

But I was only talking about cultural impact and how Simpsons had done more. That's really all.

I like TMNT. I really do. Guess I'm not obsessed with it and bow down at the church of mirage so I 'hate' everything.

The church of Mirage commands you to throw away all silliness, and bow to the... Serious, grim 'n gritty and brooding original comics

Have you been reading the IDW comics? They are really good. Issue #10 was just released and is the best so far. TMNT is a household name and it is just because they have put out some poor stuff in the past does not mean it does not have the potential to be great. It has made a cultural impact and is comparable to Superman, Spider-Man and Batman.

Comparable in the sense that they've all been comic books maybe but nowhere else.

Jesus, are you guys still arguing about this?! I think it's time we lock this thread since it's become nothing more than a pissing contest over which franchise is "cooler".

I agree with Jephael, but you cannot compare them now since the Turtles have only been around for 30 years, and the other classic DC and Marvel characters have been around for decades. Time will tell.

The Turtles have become a great franchise and you are right, another company will license them after Nick and IDW are done with them.

No...no it won't. In 30 years time Batman, Superman, Spider-man and the others will also be 30 years older with 30 more years of fans introducing their children and grandchildren to those franchises as well. It's not really a time thing. Those characters made a connection in the public consciousness that the Turtles will never make. They won't be as big as Batman, Bugs Bunny, Kermit the Frog, or Mickey Mouse...ever.

I still don't know how Power Ranges has had more staying power though.
