Considering Harrison Ford's previous feelings on the series, it's a safe bet he dies if anyone does. He always seemed to hate Han Solo and it's well-known that he wanted to quit after "Empire".

But... he's doing a ton of promo work for this movie. And he seems to be really enjoying it. You can usually tell when an actor is phoning in that kind of stuff, and he seems pretty damn excited and engaged about it all based on what I've seen. Maybe this experience has changed his mind...?

Maybe the fact he's a much older man now, who might be facing fewer offered roles and needs to ride a potential money train.

Admittedly pessimistic, but still a possibility.

I mean, it's a possibility. He's gotta be rich enough that he doesn't need to work at all. Then again, planes are expensive.

I still think he's being way more involved and positive than he has to be, especially for someone as famously grumpy as he's been. Whether it's due to money or legitimate enjoyment, it's kinda nice to see.

Harrison Ford definitely seems very happy and excited to do this movie, especially if you watch all the interviews with him on talk shows and so forth.

Its funny, you watch old interviews from the 90's and early 2000's asking Harrison if he would ever play Han again and he's like, "Hell no" and said, "I never found the character interesting." Its really funny how 15 years can change his mind.

Keep in mind back then he was 40-50...now he's 72...so it is perhaps age that changed his mind and made him reconsider.

Spoiler:
Phasma has been pretty much all but confirmed for Episode 8, so she isn't dying in the film.

Tickets booked for the 17th.

I'm staying the F away from all these spoiler tags.

My thoughts exactly.

But...he doesn't need money at this point. He's a millionaire for years, he's 72 years old, and his wife is an actress with her own millions.

I mean, what exactly would he want the money for at this point? Might as well donate it to charity.

Man, John Boyega went from being an unknown actor in independent movies to being in Star Wars where he'll instantly become famous and well known for the next 50+ years. Its hard to believe.

And its only because he and J.J. met on the set of a movie and this happened. I'm really glad, especially since he's the first lead black actor in a Star Wars film.

You can never have too much money.

College for Liam (He and Calista's adopted son) probably.

Yeah, but College doesn't cost $150 million dollars.

It's possible. But then again, maybe Ford is so happy because Solo finally dies in this movie and he won't have to return again in the future episodes?

Harrison Ford will be almost 80 by the time this new movie trilogy ends. Keep that in mind. Do you think a nearly 80 year old will be able to act in Episode 9?

Didn't notice this yet, so here - International Trailer #2 from China with a few bits of new footage:

Granted, there's a lot of shameless fan-service (desert, snow, and forest locales?) but damn if it doesn't look gorgeous, and the banter and tone just feel right. Gonna temper my expectations as much as possible, but if it's on the level of the original trilogy I'm gonna be ecstatic.

Ha! That's certainly possible, I guess. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd cover up his grumpiness if he wasn't happy about the experience, though. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Started watching the Despecialized editions of the original trilogy today in preparation for TFA. They really did a great job with it.
