I will eventually when these movies become old news.

Who knows, will we all still be here another 10 years from now? If we're all still around you guys have another decade of my posts to look forward to. God knows I'm never leaving this place. Can't wait to educate the future kiddies who come to this forum when the 4th TMNT cartoon arrives sometimes in the 2020's.

CyberCubed wasn't very active at first on this forum, neither was I it's about the time that I started being more active here that he did as well. CC is a class A troll, I know since we've posted in pretty much the same forums through out our lives. I'm immune to his posting for the most part. Oddly enough we're not really friends or enemies despite both of us crossing paths in around 4 different forums and having the same likes yet different opinions.

I think I started to become more active around 2007 onward or so. I did always post in the 2k3 review threads when the new episodes aired in the early 2000's. I was also one of those people who defended the Fast Forward season from the start when everyone else was hating on it at the time.

But yeah, I was more active in the Pokemon fandom at the time. I literally have 30,000+ posts on both serebii and bulbagarden.

The family film approach was taken with this film and it failed. I think people are ready for something new; something different. It's been 20 years since we got a dark TMNT film true to Mirage. That's what would get people intrigued.

These films didn't fail because they were family friendly(I wouldn't even call them family friendly what with the blatant Megan Fox fanservice and the penis joke...). These films failed because they were bad films.

And dark and gritty won't automatically make a film great. Just ask Batman v. Superman. It did great for one week and then it all went downhill from there.

I also doubt a "True to Mirage" approach would get anyone but the Mirage die-hards intrigued(especially if that's going to be your only selling point). At least not automatically like some people would assume. Yes, the original TMNT film was successful, and it was mostly based on the Mirage comics, but it wasn't successful simply because of that. It was successful because it was a good film.

People don't simply want a Mirage based film. They just want a good Ninja Turtles film.

I also forgot to mention that the original TMNT film was also pretty family friendly(aside from a few swear words) despite being based on Mirage.

The second movie tried to cater to the FW fanbase; that's as family friendly as you're going to get when it comes to the Turtles and people weren't interested. Hell, some FW fans weren't interested.

As soon as the trailers drops and people see the Turtles like they've never seen 'em before, I'm talking martial arts in vein of The Raid, dark and gritty cinematography (like the 1990 movie & Nolan Batman) and badass, sleek and slightly more serious Turtles, it's going to get people talking because we've never seen TMNT represented like that on the big screen. They need to rejuvenate the franchise with something wildly different. Mirage is the answer.

True, but a lot of families didn't consider it family friendly due to the Hamato Yoshi story and Turtles using their weapons hence the light-hearted sequel.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; Mirage would be a viable way of rebooting the franchise, yes. However, I don't believe the people who are in charge right now will make a mirage movie. I don't' believe they will ever do anything that actually makes sense. The chances of ever seeing a Mirage film went down the drain with the sale of TMNT. That's when the franchise passed out of the hands of people who cared about Mirage turtles as a distinct, separate thing.

Not only that but it's malarky, anyway. We've gotten new Mirage toys from a ton of different companies, oodles of reprints, the occasional new installment, t-shirts, not to mention homages in both Nick & IDW's universes. Viacom is very much aware of the demographic & respects the roots, even if they're not putting as much care into it as they do the FW stuff (understandably, in fairness, however annoying that may be).

We got two Very Sh*tty Movies, the 2003 cartoon has been thrown in the trash (with no decent release in sight...maybe another would have at least given it a decent release), and a new cartoon that (in MY Opinion) was only good for the first two seasons (and the rest sucked).

The Nick cartoon is perfectly fine and the 2k3 series has been uploaded to itunes at least.

I'm pretty sure the first 4 seasons are up so far, maybe Season 5 too. Seems like the whole show will be up eventually
