Wow! Best TMNT episode ever! I don't think anything can top that one.

Splinter getting stabbed in the back by that monster really shocked me, I was thinking that surely they are not going to go on without him.

I loved that Tigerclaw was upset by what Shredder had done, I wish he could maintain his memories and kill Shredder when things are put right again.

I loved seeing everyone all together. It was fun while it lasted at least.

Mikey being held in the arms of that Triceratron was so cute, plus his high
buzz. He was pretty brave really and all along he was the one they should have kidnapped. Mikey is still an amazing pilot even while not in Dimension X.

I loved Bishop, but it's odd that all along I felt his body looked like Bishop ever since I first saw him.

Bebop and Rocksteady were completely awesome together. Especially when they held each other as they were about to die. What did Rocksteady say to Bebop? I thought he said something about them dying together in combat?

I need to watch it again, but it kept buffering so I barely got to see it once. I feel like I saw a major movie motion picture rather than a season finale. Good work to all involved in it's creation.

Now if they will just keep it continuing through season 4 rather than a bunch of filler episodes.

Well, this was definitely the most fast-paced of the finales.

All in all, this was a better finale than season 1's finale, but the Season 2 finale is still my favorite because of the emotion to it, plus the Leo one-shot.

Not gonna lie, though, I would've liked this episode much more if it didn't feel like an "invasion" or if they had built it up just a tad bit more.

I'm really hoping the Season 4 finale has literally nothing to do with aliens and is just straight up Turtles vs. Shredder.

Splinter's death made me go, "OH ****." just because of the way it was done. It was absolutely perfect. What wasn't perfect, however, was the lack of emotion the Turtles showed afterwards, but I don't need to rant about that since other people have already ranted for me.

Well that explains why "nobody was talking about" her. She's a background character doing what background characters do.

Bishop appeared? How different was he compared to his 2K3 counterpart?

VERY.

It's a pretty major spoiler, be warned...

Spoiler:
He's one of the "Norman", that human exosuit The Kraang use. & he himself is in fact a Kraang, though he reveals that they're actually Utroms that became part of Kraang Prime's hivemind & were brainwashed against their origins...

So he's actually a good guy, & says the original Utroms are still around, in small numbers, & he's the leader of that group. No ties to the EPF yet.

Anyone else think Bishop was a nod to 2k3 Shredder? 2k3 Shredder was an Utrom, not we have Nick's Bishop as a call back to that.

He did, and he has (kinda) questioned Shredder on a few things in the past as well. If the turtles somehow undo the world from being destroyed, I really hope Tiger Claw straight up shoots Shredder in the back and allows the turtles and/or Splinter to finish Shredder for good. He's the only henchmen that is starting to see that Shredder is completely nuts.

I like the fact that even members of the foot clan, think Shredder is a little too crazy at time.

For those of you that didn't read the Mutants in Space book before watching this finale. Who else expected Bishop to be fully human, running the EPF, and give the Turtles a speech like the link below in the future?

Aaaand that's why I feel like he should have been Mortu instead. Not a big thing. But it was a case of them already having a 2K3 at their disposal that fit the bill and passing over him for... what, name recognition?

That would've worked too, but I quite like the route they went with.

Spoiler:
Mostly because I hate seeing fans of one iteration or another whine & beg for certain characters, & this shuts them up without pandering to them. Brandon & Ciro are very crafty in that way. & while I like the purpose Bishop served in the past, I was never big on his actual character. So to see him in a very different kind of role is refreshing to me. Now I'm curious to see who'll be the head of the EPF, assuming they weren't just nostalgia fodder for 4kids fans in a one-off appearance.

Bishop's character design also looks exactly like the Kraang Droids from the start. I remember even back when Season 1 was airing people said if those Kraang droids had sunglasses they would look like Bishop.

They will appear in season 4 and Brandon implied they would appear in a humans vs mutants arc at SDCC 2015

Great pair of episodes. Also not using spoilers in the official discussion thread, but a warning will suffice.

I feel like Splinter's death would have had more impact if the whole ****ing Earth didn't disintegrate. Of course they're gonna find a way to bring it, and everyone including Splinter, back.

Wow, they actually had the guts to blow up the entire earth. Although they could have handled the turtles' reactions better. Seriously, Casey excited for a space adventure after their home planet got blowned up? There is seriously something wrong with this version of Casey. Shredder killing Splinter during a dire situation caught me off guard but at the same time, after the way they handled Tang Shen's onscreen death, it did not surprise me that another one would happen.

I want to say I am happy to see Bishop but the way they brought him in was a little disappointing seeing as how they handled Hun. I know the Kraang's Norman suits look like him but I was hoping they'd have a better model for the character since his face has a bored expression.

I wonder what made the decision for Ciro to include the utroms in the series when it was believed that the Kraang were an amalgam of the utrom race and Krang. Was this always what they intended for? It kind of feels like finding out that April's mom is the adult April that we know while the teen April is just her daughter filling in for her shoes.

It had EVERYTHING!
And while I knew about what Shredder did I didn't know he did it as Splinter was about to save Earth.
I really wish Tiger Claw would have shot Shredder, man just when you think you can't hate someone more they go and get Earth destroyed.
There are so many holy crap moments in this episode that I was like this most of the time.
I guess there's no chance of befriending the Triceratons in this version.
Other things that really got me are Mondo being smashed, Muckman being blown to bits,& Rockwells helmet being smashed.
I loved the inclusion of everyone but it did suck that Baxter got left out.
I think this sums up my thoughts.
I wondered last night, if I could think of ANY episode to beat this one. After discussing it with some mates here at school (yup, we are the teachers, not the kids haha!) I have to say that this is at the top of the pile and will be watched again tonight after I get home from seeing Muse.

Well, they've tried to 1-Up themselves every finale, they did it this time.

Now the question is, how do they possibly top this one in the Season 4 finale?

The only thing I could think of is IDW 44 or something of that ilk. Literally teasing the death of one of the turtles is the only way to top this one in shock value.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed, now that I think of it, that none of their Northhampton allies showed up. I think it would've tied the whole season together as one cohesive thing instead of "there were these adventures, then some other unrelated adventures".

I mean a frog army against Triceratons would have been neat. Also Dr. Cluckingsworth could have brought the entire coop with her.
