That "Jungle Out There" was the corniest song I've heard in quite some time.
It sounded like something out of a bad 80s movie to me... and I was laughing the whole time during that scene, because it reminded of the "Gonna Need a Montage" song from the episode of South Park parodying bad 80s movies. You know, the one that has these lyrics:
Quote:
Today is approaching, time to give it your best.
You've got to reach your prime,
That's when you need to put yourself to the test,
And show us the passage of time!

We're gonna need a montage (Montage!)
A sports training montage (Montage!)

Show lot of things, happenin' at once;
Remind everyone of what's going on (what's going on!),
And with every shot, show a little improvement
To show it all would take too long!

That's called a montage (montage!)
Even Rocky had a montage (montage!)

In any sport, if you want to go,
From just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage!)
A simple little montage (montage!)

Always fade out in a montage!
If you fade out it seems like more time has passed in a montage!

Montage... (montage!)...
The shots of the turtles working on their weapons and such during the song just made it all the more funnier. Of course, that's not what they were going for, and the song really was truely awful. That's my only real complaint.

Quote:
Hey - is it just me, or did April call the Queen Wasp a B!tch when she impaled it with her spear? WHOA!
She said "Get away from him, you witch!". It was a nod to Aliens, when Ripley says to the Alien Queen "Get away from her, you bitch!"
I know that's probably obvious to most people though(just like Indiana Jones reference earlier with "Bugs. Why did it have to be bugs?"

I feel Raph's pain... I hate bugs too. With a passion I might add.

The next episode is an episode I been looking forward to. Which is based off of TMNT Vol. 1 Issue 15. The one with the Retired Superhero group "Justice Force" and Dr. Dome. It'll be like the Unconvincing TurtleTitan only these guys been around much long than Silver Sentry has.

I bet you that Mike Pollock will do the vocie of either Joey Lastic, or Stainless steve, or Dr. Dome.

I bet it'll be Stainless Steve, cause I can see mike Pollock doing his voice.

Really enjoyed this one. Granted, the plot devices were a little, um... clichéd? A puzzle cube? Doesn't everyone know that the only thing puzzle cubes can do is transport you to al alternate dimension? Jeez.

I kinda liked the song. I wouldn't want to have it playing in my car when I have the windows rolled down, but for its purpose, it was fine.

The jungle girl thing was a little extreme, but hey... it's a cartoon.

One thing I thought was weird was that the closed captioning had extra lines. That happens sometimes; I guess the people that do the captioning listen to/see a version other than the final cut. The most noticeable (sp?) of the cuts was when April did that flip on her little sailboard thing after Mikey makes the cowabunga comment. She says, "Would this be too much?" and the the closed captioning says "[imitates tarzan]". There is no reaction to the line, just her flip, so it didn't really make anything not make sense... I just wonder why they cut it.

Oh, and another thing: Leo says "who's that guy next to your dad?" even though Auggie was standing next to her mom in the picture. Oops!

I know that in the comics Robyn lives in California, so maybe in the show she's the elder sibling and she was old enough to move out of the house by that point in time.

Well, if it's like the comics, then she's supposed to be four years older than April. She'd have to be a lot older than that if she's going to appear in this universe.

I liked it.

"Bugs...why did it have to be BUGS?"

Can we say Indy?

Raph's worst nightmare: being surrounded up to the neck in roaches.

Raph's clumsiness is evident. Dope. And Casey's. I dunno what she sees in Casey!

Mike's ink problem well solved...sort of.
You guys KNOW Raph wanted to say something when "Jungle Girl" ripped her pants into "Daisy Duke" short shorts.

Poor Raph gets paralyzed......
Then Mike...And Raph again...and Leo...damn don't they learn? Come on guys, find her weakness.

And April stabbing the bug with the spear, now that's action.
She said she's protect Raph from big mean nasty ol bugs...and she lived up to it.

This is at least the second time they made an alternate dimention storyline with only one episode. They should make one(a better one)with more than one episode.

What they could do is have the turtles get sent to the Utrom homeworld, something that was never done in the comics.

I'm starting to see a pattern here that music and action in a cartoon don't mix. I think, in order to please the entire world, they should cut the musical sequences and have them as an extra on the DVD under 'deleted scenes' so that those who did like it have the option to watch it. Granted, the song won't be listed as a top favorite of mine, but it went fast and that was it! As you know, this is 4Kids Entertainment, same people who brought you "Pokémon" and that cartoon was filled with songs. If you don't like that kind of stuff, you have a few options. Write to 4Kids and tell them to stop adding songs to TMNT, stop watching the show altogether because they will do it again, or just don't say anything it and endure it. As for me, I currently have no reason to write and I'm too much of a fan to stop watching, so I'll pick 'C'.

man, all this ball you guys have been smacking about april and the ninja turtles... i think we're forgetting that the ninja turtles rank about as much bonche-whipe as the cheesy 80s phil collins/new kids on the block with jungle beat song in the latest ep. and about as much as the fact that there was only one girl smurf.

I'm getting the distinct feeling that Biblclanca just blasted the TMNT AND PHIL COLLINS

(Slaps Biblclanca for taking drugs and spreading B.S)

And I don't care what anyone says: PHILL COLLINS OWNS!
