I'm diggin' each episode more than the last!
I'm looking forward to seeing Shredder in his full gimmick, how long do you think we'll have to wait? and Baxter better be back! I REALLY like him in this series. I like April's new act, and I even am starting to like the half shirt.

Baxter will be back. I know that some people don't want to hear any spoilers, so I won't say anything more. If you want to know, go read the episode summaries on toonzone.net or ninjaturtles.com.

I don't think we'll see Shredder fully suited up for a while yet. But who knows?

Ive noticed that in most TMNT universes they never encounter Shredder right away, it always takes awhile. I mean in the First TMNT movie they dont really fight him until the end. Here its taking afew episodes. I cant remember the first cartoon

Another outstanding episode! I especially liked the nod to the Mirage fans by giving the TMNT their red masks during the origin story.

Wow I love the writers of this show. There is no question that they are writing for, and they are themselves, TMNT fanboys (and girls). Just look at some of the great references in this episode alone:
1) The TMNT all in red bandanas during their training days
2) Showing the turtles saying "Cowabunga" and eating pizza then Splinter's comment that "Intelligence soon followed".
3) When the guys put their hands together and said "Turtle Team" (I think) and Mikey's like "Or whatever we say when we all have our hands together."

I also love the villians in this show. Stockman is a lunatic, but a lunatic who apparently didn't realize who he was getting involved with when it came to the Shredder. Man, Hun and Shredder are major Badasses. I love it !

Unfortunately, once again I slept in. So, looks like I'll be going to ninjaturtles.com to read the episode summary. From what I've read so far, sounds like a great episode.

They're no shorter than the original eps. Maybe your'e thinking that because the old toon had lots of stuff happening and was quick whereas this new toon takes its time like it should.
actually, ad vertising in the early 90's was less,, an episode then was about 25 mins today it's about 21

That was it, thanks Don
Man, I'm liking really liking Mike's character this time around. Before, he was just the funny one cuz of how he was and acted, now, it's what he says, and I'm kinda noticing that his humour is rather sarcastic in a light hearted way...I like it!

in the old toon mike was way to extreme this show he's hilarious.

i noticedn that they re-oriented don's sense of humor, he's had a light sense of humor in the mirage & in the first movie

i think raph is funny in this one too, him being mean to mike i find just hilarious, but it's a different funny than the old toon the old one completely mischaracterized raph

they even made splinter funny! with the turtlecomm and the "intelligence soon followed"

but it's all very accurate they're funny but true to their characters

Actually, an episode of any show circa 1989 would've been 22 minutes, and a full hour show would've run about 44.

They've reduced that time by a minute in the last few years, but they've also allowed for a fourth commercial break(typcally, a show was broken up into 3 acts, so there were three 7 minute segments, plus the opening sequence.. roughly 22 minutes). So each segment is shorter than 10 years ago, making it seem like a quicker story.
