in the Book TMNT's guid to the universe they have a short comic where the turtles go there to save some utroms with fugitoid from triceratons who happen to have bomb strapped the the utroms bodies and only fugitoid can get them out I think that would make for a good episode and a reason for some utroms and fugitoid to come back for there help. -Vaughn Michael |

Oh, it was one of those Role Playing books from Palladium Games. Even though I don't RP that way anymore, I should consider taking a look at them to see what the stories are like. Some of them sound very interesting, including the one you just mentioned. Wow, maybe they should consider making some eps out of them. Might make for some great non-canon filler eps!

Well... somehow it reminded me of two TMNT media....
one... the puzzle cube kinda reminded me of the magic septer from TMNT 3 the movie. The way it transported them was pretty much the same deal. and then the lost world aspect reminded me sorta of Times Pipeline only without the civilization and the lizard like mouth flaps. And was anyone else turned on (shamefully, I might add) when April kept saying "it brought out the jungle girl in me"? Yeah. I know I sound crazy... but if you spent the last few days animating claymation pirates for a 3-D animation stop motion class, you'd be buggy too....

I just recently saw this episode becuase of SAT's (
So far we have considered "filler" episodes to be any episode that has nothing to do with the whole foot and shredder storyline...but if the shredder ever dies in the show then all the episodes will seem like "filler" episodes. I thought April stripping seemed kinda...naughty.. Anyone else think at the end before April killed the queen that all of the turtles would fail against it and then April would save the day? Thats kinda what happened except Don never tried to do anything. |

Well episodes that have nothing to do with Shredder/Hun/Foot or Mirage is considered a filler episode. One thing I like about them is they introduce Bad Guys that have no connection with good ol' Shredder.
My favorites So far: Season 1 The King(Best Fav of S1), Monster Hunter(filler/plot), Garbageman, Lone Raph & Cub. Season 2 Reflections, Return to the Underground(plot/filler), April's Artifact, & Golden Punk(Best Fav of S2) Most of the times I can tell which is a filler and which is a plot episode. i hope we'll see more villians later on. Other Bad guys besides Shredder

That song was hideous. Apart from that and those hornets which looked like mantisses the episode was quite good.

Can't believe most of you hate "Running free" & "It's a Jungle out there"
Doesn't anyone like Smooth Rock or Basic Rock?

The way I see it, these "filler" episodes are no different than the multi-part storylines. They can both have anything remotely related to the Mirage comics and/or Shredder.
PSA: If you are curious as to which storylines are Mirage and non-Mirage based, please visit the comic book section of the Official TMNT Website! |

I know that the King is based off of Donatello Special. Based off of a comic but also a filler episode.
Sometimes I can't tell what is consider to be a filler or a filler/plot or filler/spin-off.

I know I'm late, but that was a totally awesome episode! I'm glad it was full of humor after the intense episodes we had earlier. And it's nice to see April in the spot light for once. I'm sure there will be a future episode (maybe in season 3?) that will reveal more details about April's history. Maybe we'll even see Uncle Augie, especially after hearing what April said at the end of the episode. "I'll find you, Uncle Augie." Maybe she will with some help from Renet?

And... did anyone else expect to hear Baltimora's "Tarzan Boy" from the third movie while watching that river sailing scene? Heh, I know I did.

was phil collins the one who sang its a jungle out there? I wasn't paying attention to the voice when I heard it.
Are you sure it was him. That was good time, in the ep, to put the song. |

The whole thing about Phil Collins is to make fun of Tarzan. Theres no way we'd ever hear him sing on the TMNT soundtrack unless it was a movie. Man, april was hot!

You guys spoke of the King episode here. I also liked it very much. You see, I have never read Mirage TMNT comics unfortunately cause they have never been issued in Russia
I have just found out that Saki looks like Krang. So I'm terrorizing everyone with questions but I NEED to know: Why did he look like a human in the first season? So is he an utrom or Oroku Saki? Has Oroku Saki ever lived? I'm dieing here... I need some information, guys I have only 24 episodes of the first season
