As usual if you want the LEGO sets on discount check the first post for links, however, I just wanted to mention that the movie Sewer Lair is on sale for 18% off right now so it's a pretty nice discount. You get a lot of pieces and minifigs including Shredder, Splinter and Donatello whoa are all exclusive minifigs to this set. The Leo figure also has an exclusive face printing.

Make your very own Wizard Donny!

All you need is a Don LEGO minifig and one of the new Wizard minifigs from the Series 12 Collectible Minifigures series, which you can find in stores now.

Check Target. They are selling them for $2.99 right now. The MSRP is actually 3.99 so don't miss out.

Awesome shares people ^^

I really am considering buying the movie sets. As much as I'm not really a fan of them, I feel like I could make use out of the spare parts from the sewer to make an even bigger version of the Nick 'toon set.

I like the van that comes with Vern too, I like the idea of April having her Channel 6 van which is good for my custom sets I keep building.

So should I invest or not?

I got the movie Sewer and van sets over the weekend.

I'm surprised at how much I like the minifigures that are included. The Turtles all look pretty good (especially if you switch out the shells with the Nick figures), Shredder is pretty good and I love Splinter. Even the Foot Soldiers work as generic military figures.

The sewer build was decent, but lacked a lot of the charm of the first sewer. It just didn't feel quite like a $100 set to me.

I've found the more I've checked out the movie sewer, the more it just doesn't 'feel' like a sewer to me. I do prefer the Nick toon version. Although I'm currently bricklinking the minifigures just for the sake of having them, Shredder is a must for me I think

So I thought $7.98 w/free shipping was a good deal for the DeCool Bootleg figures.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/321414222160...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I knew what I was buying so I can't really complain, but the only really useable figure is Shredder. Splinter's eyes are not centered, so he looks pretty derpy.

I was concerned these might be indistinguishable from Lego, but there are some clear differences. Figures are much glossier, and have some heavy flash and mold lines. The neck peg is an open cylinder, instead of closed. The hands pop off fairly easy.
All of my turtles have a tan plastron on their chest, but on the legs it is brown. The end of the bandanas have an unpainted spot where the green shows.
Michaelangelo's nunchucks have a metal chain which I thought was odd.
Raphael's mask is dark red, and Mike's eyes are too low, and Leo's mask is globbed in the middle. There is clearly no QC involved, it's a crapshoot.

The stickers seem pretty good, but the pizza label is the exact same size as the round tile and is pretty hard to center. The Skateboard stickers are tricky to center, but the Lego ones are no different, I ripped one sticker trying to reposition it. I've been dealing with stickers and decals most of my life. These would probably give less than ideal results for a novice. The Skateboards clearly should be printed in the first place (that goes for the Lego ones, too).

I've had some really nice bootlegs and i've had some TERRIBLE ones with printing totally misaligned. You really are taking a gamble.

I only buy bootlegs of two types of figures though: 1) bootleg versions of convention exclusives which are otherwise ridiculously expensive to get or 2) bootleg versions of characters that LEGO has not released actual minifigures of.

In the case of 2) there are tons of marvel and dc characters that don't have official minifigs and the bootleggers have released a pretty good selection over the last few years.

I don't own any bootleg turtles though. So far, I have purchased at least 1 of every official TMNT LEGO set, except one: the 2014 movie set with april and karai (snow rig getaway), i'll be getting it when it's on sale.

Love the addition of the cord, it really adds a lot to the look for such a small piece.
