No, not for Hotmail, just get an MSN passport. That's two different things.

Although when you sign up for a hotmail account, you got MSN passport automatically afair.

Ok, I created an MSN passport account, and when I go to the chat now it says I'm not a member of the group, but I am. I got the e-mail confirmation and everything.

Tried that, but it says my e-mail and username are in use by another member of the group.

Ah... maybe you've got to click some activation link in that mail, or you need to be approved to the group by one of the group's administrators. Check the confirmation-mail you got, it should be somewhere in there.

Gone through all of that. I got two confirmation e-mails(one for the passport, the other from the group), did all of the activations and everything. Oh well. It almost doesn't seem like it's worth the effort. Hopefully one of the group admins can fix this.

cqb101, why not trying to sign up for a hotmail account anyway? I had no problems with logging to the chat using my hotmail address.

cqb101, I don't use Hotmail for e-mails, I used to have one account with a rather kinky username and then I found better accounts. My current account was made for MSN purposes only... But I see your point.
