Most likely she's some sort of genetically engineered, hybridized... thing... she's got the temporal sensitivity of the Kraang, but she can survive in the native atmosphere.

She's our Sari Sumdac... I love being right, but I wish I was wrong in this situation. I would have liked a nice normal April...

I dunno, I am intrigued by the idea of April having some latent supernatural abilities. There was at least the hint of that in the Archie TMNTA issues, assuming you hold the May East Saga as canon... which Steve Murphy himself probably didn't.

But it's not important to me whether April is "normal," so much as how the creative minds decide to explain and develop the abilities she may possess. In short, it's all about the execution.

Yeah, the last episode is surprising, I did not see that plot twist at all. Does that mean Kirby lied to them when the guys are trying to save him in The Gauntlet?

I don't think he lied. However, one has to wonder why they're even keeping him alive. At the very least they should be experimenting on him.

I think April is a galatic hero who find out that she is related to Samus Aran and the kraang know that and don't want this to happen to kraang prime .

Me too. If they do make April into some...supernatural superhero then...I hope they do it well because the backlash will be bad if not. Personally I don't really mind giving April some superpower but being used to her being human, well... It would be a bit of an adjustmeant.

I don't hate this idea. But why would she be on Earth from infancy? (I assume she has been.) Maybe Kirby is Fugitoid and he smuggled her out as a baby

I think April is still human, only that she is gifted with a very rare ability. This was picked up by Splinter, and unsurprisingly by the Kraangs as well due to their super advanced technology.

If she's got some unusual traits about her, that wouldn't be a problem... I trust the writers will create a great story, whether if she's a hybrid, or a refugee child from another universe..we've seen their talents over and over this season.

What I"m talking about is what happened with the Sumdac girl from Transformers: Animated. After living with her father for so many years, she had NO clue about anything strange about herself. She acted like any other human kid...

Suddenly, she's told she's engineered from transformer technology, and suddenly she's MORE advanced than any of the original robots, she's better at Everything from fighting to having psychic knowledge about mechanical repairs. And she was only a bot for a short time, compared to Over a hundred years with all the other robots.

She turned into a Super-Mega Mary-Sue character - and she lost her relate-ability. I don't wanna see that happen with April. Anyone remember the "April is a Drawing" reactions from the Mirage comics?

Splinter noticed April's mental acuity on his own, and wanted to provide her the means to protect herself. My thing is, I don't want her to suddenly out-ninja four brothers who have been trained their entire Lives from day one to be warriors. Are we to suddenly see her have a psychic connection with the Kraang, and can understand what they're saying? Or could she pull a 'V' and be some hybrid child that suddenly pops up out of nowhere and saves the world in some ridiculous way...

I really don't get all of the fear about April being a Mary-Sue. I mean; I guess there's always a risk, but so far they've avoided it at every turn. Eventually becoming a good fighter doesn't make someone a Mary-Sue; it just makes them a Badass-Normal; that's not excessive in this context, but rather a necessity for survival. More in-line with what a Mary-Sue is is being the center of attention, and there April doesn't qualify at all. Most episodes, she is barely in; if anything, I wish she got a bit more attention; not to make her the "star," but just to let the Turtles focus on solving a big issue and building suspense.

I don't know if someone mentioned this yet or not, but maybe there's something in her DNA that has the mutagen act differently vs other DNA on earth. That thought crossed my mind while watching Alien Agenda.

I don't think April will out-ninja the guys suddenly. The writers have handled her training very well, and I highly doubt they'd just jump into her suddenly being able to fight better than the Turtles.

I think there is something about her DNA that intrigues the Kraang, and that's why they want her. Maybe they want to see if the mutagen affects her differently than others because of it, or because she's not human. I can't wait to see where this goes. I have faith in the writers thus far.
