Was he twerking? I could have sworn that was more of a Teabagging...

Anyhow!
Hands down my favorite episode this season thus far.
Loved the messed up visuals, and everyone's fears.

But...can someone smack the hell of out Don yet?
Because this "Nice Guy" thing has moved waaaaay past entertaining.

Like the squirrel-oid one, great as a one-off horror-esque escapade but at this point I'd really rather there be a tighter focus on the story arc of the season/show than just "let's spend an episode fighting a brand new mutant thing."

As I said earlier, I actually prefer "mutant of the week" episodes done like this one or the Squirrelnoid episode, rather than the Season 1 way where some random human becomes a mutant and then turns evil for no reason.

There's a reason why the Spiderbitez episode is one of the worst episodes of the series.

I thought this was a really funny and trippy episode.
I hope we get more of this stuff down the road.
Mikey was really funny in this one, he may just be my favorite turtle in this version.

the Mario ref was alright, that dance part felt a bit out of place but then again, it reminded me more of nutcracker

gotta admit, didn't expect mikeys head 2 come off which was pretty kl
also thought how Donnie was freaking out about april turning on him was funny, bit surprised how leos immune system seemed 2 handle the amount of the toxin that got sprayed on him considering he got sprayed 5x at least

on that part where mikey and raph almost took each other out while in the hallucinations, gotta wonder if those spores weren't somehow communicating w/ each other as a way 2 completely wipe out threats

overall, felt like a decent episode but could've been a lot better

Another enemy of the week episode.
I wish they would develop the villains they already have rather than constantly doing these one off villain episodes. I like a story arc in my tv shows.

That's a great thing about the Nick series right there, tons of people are finding themselves favoring a different turtle for once. They've gone to great lengths making the characters feel completely fresh while still familiar & true to their core. You're into Mikey this time around, for me, it's Donnie.

Yeah see for me it was Don & Raph in the 80's toon.
Raph & Don in the 2k3 show.
Mikey in this one with Don in close second.
I agree though this show is really new and fresh.
Oh and Casey is starting to grow on me like a bad fungus lol

I love Mikey (Donny close 2nd) in this version, he's so sweet and much better fighter than 2K3 Mikey. I also love that the other turtles are more protective over him. Mikey hugging Don in this episode was so cute.

80s toon Raph was my fave
2K3 toon Don was my fave
IDW Comic Mikey is my fave
2007 movie - Mikey
First 3 movies - Can't decide

I find myself flitting between turtles this series.

I've gone Donnie, Mikey, Raph, currently Donnie, but liked Leo a LOT more after this episode. And that's saying something because he's always been in 4th position for me. I mean he's still in 4th position overall but for this episode he was 2nd after Donnie. Mikey/Raph joint third.

I hated this episode. It had too much comedy for me, and in addition, it was a pointless filler.

I partially agree. I like the development added to Leo, but besides that, it was pointless filler and really didn't like how the ending hinted towards Fungus Humungous making a return.

What exactly was the glowing around Splinter and Leo suppose to be? Chakra? Chi? Also where the hell did Mikey even get the freaking pizza at the end?! Does he have a pizza bro, like in the IDW comics?

This ep was great. Loved seeing all the fears, and Leo's "boss battle" was really cool.
The Donnie/Casey stuff was hilarious.

Thumbs up

In my opinion, this episode was amazing. Call me immature, but I still think Donnie's crush on April is cute, but I do admit his stalking in some earlier episodes was a bit far.
Some people have been complaining that the fears were lame for this episode. Here what I think: if everyone had super serious, scary fears, there wouldn't be any comedy and younger viewers would be traumatized (keep in mind this show is aimed at kids). Plus, while these things were their WORST fears, they weren't their only fears. That means that Donatello doesn't just fear April hating him, and that Casey only fears rats. Leonardo's main fear was failing his family as a leader because he is responsible for them winning or losing a battle. I bet the other turtles didn't fear losing their team because they trust Leo as a leader (besides the fact that if everyone had similar fears it would make for a boring episode).
Then there's people saying that Raphael's fear of cockroaches was dumb. Okay, cockroaches are very creepy. Plus, Raphael is a tough, fearless turtle. He probably doesn't fear very much stuff. And I bet my worst fear would be spiders. So I understand his.
And I think Donnie's fear isn't ALL April hating him. If you listen to what April said to him, she called him a freak, and a weirdo with only 3 fingers. It has been shown multiple times in the show that Donnie resents being a mutant and I think that his fear is people calling him a monster, and also April hating him. That made me feel sorry for him when I thought about that.
I don't think Mikey's fear was forced. He did seem terrified of the Squirrelenoids in their episode, plus the comics he was reading. Then in that episode they almost killed him. It makes sense but I was hoping for a fear a little deeper. Still, I'm not disappointed.
Leonardo was incredible in this episode! His fight with Fungus Humongous just made my jaw drop. And my favorite part of this episode was the Captain Ryan cameo. I miss that show even though Super Robo Mech Force is cool, too.
Pretty much the only parts I hated were the Mushroom dance and the very end. Was the mushroom on the pizza dancing or something?

First of all, since when is comedy a bad thing? If you're not expecting jokes from a cartoon, what are you expecting? And there can't be 26 episodes a season purely dedicated to the main story. There should be some breathing room. This show has a great potential and going outside of the main arc helps explore that. Fillers don't bother me. I'm just happy to watch it every week.

http://markandpaigerodriguez.blogspo...36-fungus.html My thoughts. What can I say, a total acid trip and it gave a good excuse to bring back some characters as cameos.

I liked the episode but it's not one of my favorites. I actually have a really sorta low key moment that stuck out the most to me and it was when Mikey whacked Raph in the head when he was initially going after Leo. I thought that was a really cool step forward for Mikey's character and I am actually a lifelong Raph fan. I also thought this ep really pushed the envelope as far as how freaky it was. I mean Mikey's head fell off and cockroaches started shooting out his neck! For a "kids" show that's pretty dang crazy really! One thing I was hoping for was to see Splinter get in on the action. It would have been cool to see his worst fear. Maybe his worst fear is having all the Turtles find out the truth about Karai?

I think splinters worst fear would be losing the turtles to shredder.
