Haha....the very last scene was kind of amusing...Baxter survived eh? Then surely Zog could've survived, right? I dunno..
Zog vs. Hun AND Zog vs. Shredder.....cool!
The only thing that bugged me about this episode was..the previews said it would be a shocking surprise ending.. It seemed pretty reminiscent to Return to New York where Shredder apparently died and then we found out he survived. But maybe that was the point, since the whole Rogue In the House saga took some ideas from the RTNY comics.

Not a bad episode! Pretty routine, but eh, I guess that's pretty much a given...

I dunno about you all, but Zog's "death" (assuming he's dead) doesn't sit well with me at all. Yeah, his sacrifice was noble, but he thought he was dying for the Republic, not to save the lives of his enemies...so basically the Turtles lied to him, used him, and then he died for them. His death and final act were based on a lie. NOT COOL.

Shredder survives again, meh. And Baxter, double meh.

This is my favroite episode of season two, and maybe my favorite episode all together. It was really cool that Zog narrated it. The fight between Zog and Hun was cool, but when Zog took on SHredder I was on the edge of my bed. RIP, Zog.

Baxter will NEVER DIE! lol, but that's cool, 'cause I like him as a brain And probably one of my favorite quotes from the episode (from Hun): "Let me show you how we do it.. New York style!" or something like that.

My sister and I talked about the same thing. I think that since Zog 1) wouldn't've been able to go back home, 2) wouldn't've ever been able to function normally (because of the time that elapsed when he was breathing his regular nitrogen and he still didn't realize that the turtles were, well, turtles, I think it's safe to say that the brain damage was permanent), and 3) that the turtles were using him, yes, but for something HONORABLE... I don't see it to be a problem.

It just goes to show how strong prejudice is... if he would have seen the turtles, there's not way he would have followed their orders. But, as he couldn't tell who the turtles were, he followed their orders. I don't know if that's just because Zog was totally brainwashed military-style, but it's not like the turtles asked him to do anything that was inhumane.

Basically, if he died thinking that he was protecting the Republic, then he was protecting the Republic.

Of course, this argument may be totally faulty and I'm only using it to comfort myself after Zog's untimely death.

This was a good episode, I dont think Baxter will be sliced up because he didn't do anything wrong this time around. Poor old Zog, I wanted Hun to tell him that the Turtles were not in the Republic. The Turtles need a burial ground or a good luck charm or something, think about it:
*April, loses Job and gets house burned down
*Casey, well he is excuseable
*Jack Kirby, goes off into some alternate reality
*Fugitoid, gets kicked off his homeworld, in the middle of a battle, gets teleported, in the middle of another battle, and then shipped of to some other world
*Leatherhead, dead
*Zog, dead
*Ultimate Ninja, grounded
*Karai, trouble with pops, starts questioning her morals
These Turtles are trouble I tell ya, trouble!

I would have to agree with all of you about Zog death. Sure it was noble but he thought he was doing something good for the Republic, not the Turtles and their master. So yes his sacrifice was all based on a lie. Leonardo should feel guilty. Then again, what else could they have done with him anyway? If it wasn't for Zog, Shredder probably would of killed Splinter.

This episode has to be my favorite this season, and probably overall. I thought that Secret Origins Part III could not be topped but yet again, it was. Isn't it odd that a Shredder centered episode seems to be our favorite episode? hehe. Anyway, some things I noticed in the episode.

-Karai: Yes, she did not slay the Turtles as her master wanted but at the end, she does get him out of the ocean. She did betray him but I guess not enough. I wonder if she'll have a body party missing for her "failure". Oh and I guess the talk on how she failed her master and the fact that Splinter tried to comfort her didn't matter. I really hope that in season 3 she makes a true choice between her loyalities to her master or to her honor.

-Zog vs. Hun? Zog vs. Shredder? Gosh, what a fight! Brute strength seems to win out in the end. Oh and it's nice to see Hun fight someone his size for a change. Zog kicked so much butt in this episode! Oh and did everyone think that he died by the Shredder, just like in the comics? I did but luckily, he got up and finished off Shredder. It's too bad he's dead. Well he could not be. I would like to see him return in season 3. He is a valuable ally, even if he fought under a lie.

-Shredder vs. Splinter!!! Finally, a fight worth talking about. Too bad they didn't show much again. Still, it was nice to see Splinter try and tie him up with the rope. Although if I was Splinter, I would knew that wouldn't work.

-Did you guys notice Mikey scream in pain when that Foot Mech set it's grapling hook on to him? That sounded like it hurt. I was surprised to see that on a Saturday morning cartoon.

-I loved the part when Raph threw his sais, pinned one of the Elite, and Don came in and just slammed his bo staff into his stomach. That HAD to hurt.

-Baxter Stockman survives again! Well I really hope he gets a body again. I'm sure he is pretty pissed off at the Turtles and of course Shredder.

-Finally, the ending: Not that much of a cliffhanger but then again, seeing Karai saving her master after she failed him is pretty surprising. Like I said before, I hope that Shredder does not punish her for this by taking something away.

Great episode! It ranks number one along with Return to New York Part III, Secret Origins Part III, and City at War Part III. We won't be seeing any more Foot/Shredder centered episodes the rest of the season but I just hope that Shredder finally comes up with a plan for world domination or something for the Turtles to stop instead of them always just fighting each other in season 3.

Yea, the way I saw it was Zog wasn't really a "great soldier" as they said. He was just giving orders to who he thought was the triceraton republic, which were not good guys.

Did anyone else think it looked like Shredder was missing a leg when Karai pulled him out of the water?

I wouldn't be suprised of Baxter makes a body out of the foot mech parts...

Anyone find it weird hwo all the Season Fanalies were today? Kirby, Shaman King, Sonic X. Uh oh, is TMNT on next week? I thought it was a very weird scream for Mikey, it kinda bugged me... No Shredder, karai, Foot, or Hun for the next couple of months? What am I going to do? Hmmm, If the big brawl is set in space, could the Utroms be their? That gives me something to look foward too!

I noticed that too. Their are a lot of season finales. But the Turtles are going on until June. Big Brawl Part 4 is the season finale. Oh and I'm with you about possibly seeing the Utroms in Big Brawl.

According to the TV Guide I use, Apirl's Artifact airs next week. I'm thinking we're getting all the season 2 episodes before the long summer break, and season 3 will start in the fall.

Pretty generic episode IMO. The only thing that seemed new was some of the action, like Raph pinning the Elite to the wall so Don could smack him and the fight with the Robots. Everything else was standard fare for the new show.

Shredder was missing his right leg when he got pulled out of the water, but it's just an exosuit, so he can just build a new one. They need to have him stop surviving explosions too, it's getting old.

And, holy crap, **** Baxter and his never dieing. It's getting really annoying and stupid. THE SHIP BLEW UP! HE HAD NO PROTECTION OTHER THEN A GLASS DOME! HE SHOULD HAVE WENT POOF! I hope a shark eats him.

On a similar note, did they show Hun or the Foot elite getting off the ship? Or did they blow up too?

And how come they mourned Zog, but they joked when Leatherhead looked to die? Not very honourable.

Well it's a good episode but things were a little predictable. I knew Zog was probably gonna die. I knew Shredder was not gonna die. I don't know about you but I never found it to be annoying that the Shredder doesn't die. He's the main bad guy man. It doesn't bother me much. I just wish they'd explain how he managed to survive during the explsion in the TCRI building. Oh and forgot to post this last week but I hate the new Shredder suit. It's just too plain and robotic looking. I guess the animators got lazy and figured they could tone down the amount of work they need to do by making a more simple looking armor.

Good episode. The Foot Elite fought well againt the turtles as usual before they were beaten. Hun against Zog was a great fight. I just wish it lasted longer. The Foot Mechs could have done better against the turtles since they were supposed to be powerful enough to take the earth by storm. Zog was a strong adversary against Shredder. But still, Shredder managed to rough him up before He and Zog fell into the flames.

As I said before, Karai has divided loyalties. Too both Shredder and the turtles. I mean the ending makes it obvious.
