I can't wait to find all those new figures you have, in stores. For now I am searching out more mousers.
Thank you for this info! Funny, I love this movie and consider it one of my all time favorites. However, I did not realize that it had its own figure line...I may have to track these down sometime soon.

Cool! I am a fan as well. As a kid I had Robin and the Sheriff, now as an adult I have all the vehicles, figures, playset, and extended version of the movie I got for free from a friend.

They are pretty easy to find for reasonable prices, in or out of the box. Also, just so you know, the two Robin figures each have two headsculpts, one Kevin Costner and one blah face.

Thank you for the tip and yes you are correct indeed. I thought about going that route, but I have found so many in passing through my local stores that I might not need to. That Target sale really helped me buy a few more.

I never saw the mousers in stores. I can't say I looked too hard. I bought two sets on ebay from China for the price of one carded set in stores.

I've finally come across the new Head Droppin Turtles, well two of them anyway.
Leo and Don. At first I thought they were the 11" versions (just being two in the pic I got) but I realised it was the 5" versions.
Should arrive early next week. Now I've just to wait around for Mikey and Raph.

I found Baxter stockman at toyrus yesterday after church....damn the lack of paint suuuuuucccckkkkssss. Usually I'm optimistic but damn. I didnt feel like repainting. I figure I'll find him later. So I bought the 2.5 inch figures and play set from Hasbro's 2.5 avengers age of ultron line. They maybe small, with 5 points of articulation, but they're sure a hell of a lot better than playmate's tmnt line. I mean, I can get more figs for $5 bucks a pop.

Playsets for $20, a vehicle for $30, and easily built I collection. It may not be popular among marvel legends fans or marvel universe, but I'm happy for what they are. And yes, better bang for my buck rather then a ****** unpainted 5inch figure...damn you playmates...i've finally lost faith in you.

So somebody is finding out how to use a magnifying glass. An Antman figure at this scale would still be bigger than.....well, ......Antman.

I was almost troubled about Stockman, but then hey I guess he isn't as small as the easy to lose new avengers 2.5 inch line.

On a serious note, Stockman fly looked horrible to me based on in hand pictures, then I saw the figure at a Walmart and liked it more. I will still repaint the figure, but it wasn't quite as big of a disaster as I first thought. The sculpt that is there is really quite nice with the limited paint job.

Joe for years with great success.

You made a good point about difference in franchise. I suppose I was just giving an example of how a figure was repurposed, and tooled well enough that it wasn't especially obvious.

Every time I purchase a turtle figure, no joke, I step back for a second to appreciate the marketing genius behind all of this. We purchase 4 turtle figurines, which clearly hold dear nostalgic value to us all; however, the only delineating factor between them is the color of their bandana, and their weapons/accessories they're packaged with. As a result, we, the buyers, identify them as separate entities. I get a big kick out of that. I wonder if anyone else would agree?
Alternate head sculpts would be nice. That does seem to be a pretty simple thing to create a good diversity among the figures.

I know that when I buy extra tmnt stuff, besides the playmates stuff, I will usually choose my favorite/soul brother, Mikey. I like them all, I just think that I have always liked how he lightens the moment in most of the versions of the characters I have seen. Now I may not be known for being a party animal but I do know that everyone gets too caught up in the seriousness of a moment. There has to be something that breaks the spell. Finding the funny moments in life is what makes it worth living, as well as the people you share those moments with.

To each his own. I think as time goes by they may get knee articulation, I think Hasbro is testing the waters for the 2.5 inch line because they are cheap to make with decent paint. There are rumors that Hasbro is bringing back M.A.S.K. and they were a 2.5 inch line with transforming vehicles. If the guardians of the galaxy sold well, so will these.

As for Baxter, I'll get him later, and put a lab or trench coat on him to mimic the1950s fly from 'the fly' as well as adding paint. Hell, I added some red paint on the mini figure ultron and he's lookin spiffy!

"They are cheap to make," is the attitude that the original Star Wars figures of the 70's had. Back then it was decided to make a line that wasn't the larger size of Mego toys and then history was made. The 4 inch figure has lasted for almost 4 decades. Now Hasbro wants to throw an even smaller figure out that are more of a choking hazard than a toy line. Like Micro Machines except that at the time those figures vehicles were only alongside Kenner/Hasbro figures (the major line).

Those 2.5 inch figures feels like the oncoming cheapness and new wave for the kids. As I sense a pattern, Marvel owned by Disney and Star Wars owned by Disney, I can see the Star Wars line going this route. I didn't like it with Guardians and I don't like it now with the avengers. That small figure stuff hasn't sold very well in any of the stores I have been to. What sold the fastest for the Guardians toys? the 6 inch figures.

For anyone who likes these new little figures, I say "Enjoy!" That is what a toy is there for. Just because I am against it doesn't mean others shouldn't find wonder in it. Now that I am done with that, now back to your regularly scheduled thread for TMNT 2015 figures.

Could also do with a bit of a tan dry brushing over the dark skin.

Heres a link to the early playmates figure for reference.

http://www.gamesgazette.co.uk/gg/con...ages/tmnt6.jpg

I like what you have done otherwise. Those brown spots and extra paint on the face really helps the figure.

Question for anyone reading: If this Baxter were to have come with a better weapon/accessory, what do you think it should have been?

A bigger bar of chocolate !! Haha!
The fly Squater that came with the original is a nice gag but I'm glad they didn't go there.
He doesn't need accessories realy as he's a nice looking figure with great head sculpt and very good wings. Painted up, he can look amazing . I'm going to repaint mine...ok I'll have my mate repaint him with detailing on the 'flesh' to get some accents on it.

So uh...

This may have been answered already (I'm not pouring through 70+ pages to look) but has Karai Serpent come out in stores yet? I'm not paying $30 on Amazon unless it's a limited release.

Now this is how you tell people that a figure doesn't sell very well. Make it very limited.
