Yeah nothing wrong with Day scenes, But the TMNT can't be out in daylight... Another thing I loved about the ep, The training scene where they all wore same colored bandana...

The new toon rules all.

Man, this episode was off the chain! The origin, Hun's debut, Shredder smashing the picture of the turtles. It really does get better every week! And I'm more hyped up for next week than I was for the first week.

I liked how Don pole vaulted up to that turret and shot the other one down, that was awesome. I also liked how Raph sneers at April before picking the lock with his sai. And when Raph says "especially you" it made me feel all warm and fuzy inside...alright I cried, but just a little. Haha j/k

I for one like the unnecessary "effects" like the split screens, and wide screen shots that are used. It looks kind of like reading a comic, and adds a little more drama to the action scenes.

I'm really diggin' the interactions between the charecters. Raph and Mikey are always takin shots at each other, and Raph pushes him around like a big brother. Don and April are hitting it off to say the least. Raph always doing his own thing and Leo trying to keep him under control. Also Leo is always saving Raphs tail. Has anyone noticed that Leo saves him in every episode so far? He saves him from the falling ceiling in the first episode, he pulls him away from the speeding subway in the second, and in this episode he sheilds him from the laser turrets. Leonardo rules! I can't wait to see how Casey acts, and the "Casey vs. Raph" confrontation is one my all time favorite moments in the TMNT saga.

All in all this cartoon is great, and I just can't wait for Saturday.

Yeah, I like the effects too. Next weeks episode will be great, it's based on the Raphael one shot. The series is truly getting better every week.

Well, inter species hook ups have had a long tradition in comic books(see Tank Girl the movie or comic), heh.

Yeah, whys there only 7 threads? Dont tell me the excitement died down...granted I dont have tiem to look through all of last week's episode posts or this weeks.

Well, it illustrates the effectiveness of the new April if *I* say shes hot, heh. Seriously, she totally seems like someone I would date...fun, smart, spunky, creative, and very sexy! And that half shirt thing aint half bad, heh.

Oh! Forgot to mention! FINALLY...we have day time scenes! *whew* I was worried every episode would be like Batman the animated series(ie: all at night) That would just get boring. I also hope the massive amount of time spent in the sewers balances out...one can only stand pink sewage water and bland caramel stucko walls so long Btw, good to see the Eastman/Laird cops again, heh.
I guess I'll help you out and say April is a hot Cartoon character.. I mean really, they design females in cartoons to appeal somewhat to the males watching. (Sad but true)

I really don't wanna see Don and April hook up... that's what casey is for!

Now, was their bandanas in the flash back red, or was it just because the flash back took place in Browns and Greens? (Splinter was also the same color of their Bandans in the flash back...) Just something to think about

I think the bandanas were brown like the knee and elbow pads. But they were same color, it was very cool.

I really liked this episode. The beginning parts where April first woke up, I liked a lot. And I also liked how April helped quite a bit when storming Stockman's stronghold. I liked how they did the origins although I still don't think the masks were all red. I think that it was because the whole thing was done in brown. If you look real closely, the masks look slightly lighter or darker from turtle to turtle. Also I liked during the origins that the infant turtles weren't wearing the masks and their eyes had pupils. That was probably one of the first things I noticed, the eyes had pupils. Nice to see officer Laird and Eastman again. That's all I have to say.

I watched the episode twice, I still think they were same color, but Im 100% sure on this. And the TMNT will have pupils when they take their masks off, if that will happen in some episode.

Maybe I missed it, but how did Splinter become gray? Unless my monitor's contrast is really off, I'm pretty sure he was brown during the origins...

Just about everything in the origin flashback is brown. With the exception of the turtles, who are still green, I believe. I also think that all the bandanna's were red-ish simply because they were doing the flashback in monotone. You can see that all the bandannas are slightly different shades of "red". But still, it's a nice effect, and I do believe it was a tip of the hat to the fact that they wear all red in the Mirage comics.

Admittedly the flashback was in monotone, but I do think Splinter is very very dark in the flashbacks.. he definitely *looks* brown-furred. I think it's more homage/timeline stuff. Splinter was brown-furred in the old comics, as well as the old cartoon (both of which are touched on in this flashback). Splinter being brownish in the flashbacks and gray in the series proper is a way of reflecting his age... fifteen years ago, he was a lot younger (duh) than he is now... so its no surprise his fur went gray in the years since he adopted the turtles.

Yeah I like the part where the TMNT were eating pizza, and yelling "Cowanbunga" and "dude" then Splinter's line: "Intelligence followed soon after" It seems the writes have done their home work on the old series...

Another thing I forgot to mention, I really liked Hun. I was afraid he would be big and dumb, But luckily I was wrong.

what do you expect? After having to raise quadruplet sons for 15 years, you'd turn gray too!

Heh, I actually did an altering of a pic i copied from NTN.com (love ya neil!) and I changed Splinter's coloring to brown. He actually looks pretty good...

*squeal* I am SO hapy the boys have a childhood now...I mean, in the first cartoon, it seemed like they'd only taken like, a year or two to learn everything, and that's just simply....Impossible!!!It takes YEARS to get as good as they are.

Heehee, and this allows me to enjoy my young turtles stories even more...

heh, I loved the "intelligence soon followed" remark as well...

Hun.. Oh my God, he is heavenly! Its good to see a BIG villain who's not stumbling around and eating all the time... that always bugged me...

Yeah I relly like the fact that the TMNT grew, in the old cartoon they mutated instantly to their full size. The baby TMNT following splinter and stopping at the same time... Just hilarious!

Yeah I just noticed that yesterday when I rewatched all the episodes. I hadn't noticed the part about the laser but it was true, he was like "Head up, Raph!" Thats sooo cool It's good ot see they watch each other's backs all hte time during fights.

Also I don't mind the split screen stuff. But I'll admit it did look abit wierd when Mikey did hte lingshot part. But some time it looks cool.

I like how the ending had Shredder looking evil and then it went split screen.

Ok so I just watched the new episode and I don't really want to reiterate what was said in the last seven pages...so I just wanted to say that I agree with what all of you guys said and that the new series rocks! They have really done a good job making in in ALL aspects, drawing, story, humor, everything. It's all there.

And although this one was amazing, ep 4 looks even better!! Argh now I'm going to be anticipating this all week and I probably won't be able to watch it till Sunday!!

Payce
