And April and Karai are done.

08 April O'Neil (Ninja Training):

More 01
April and Casey
Finally have an April figure. Check the above posts for her reference picture. In season 4 of the 2003 series, April got a new jumpsuit. She appears in the intro this way and one or two episodes (ones I've only seen 1-2 times, so I'd have to get help pointing them out). I really liked this suit because her tiny shirt design never sat well with me. Don't get me wrong I like that design and all, but it just didn't always work (Especially when she was working in a lab). Really wish she had used this one more. Weapons wise, I gave her some Butterfly swords and a short sword on her back. Like Casey, she has white strips on the sides that can't been seen head on. The hair turned out far better than I thought it would. I only dislike that it's the same color as Casey's shirt. Overall, I'm happy with her. Still hope to make the old toon April as well.

PARTS:
Head - Pilot Scarlet
Bun - POTF Leia
Torso and Arms - ROC Scarlet (camo)
Upper Legs - Helix
Lower Legs - ROC Scarlet (Armored)
Sword and Case - VvV Scarlett (been wanting to mod one of those for a long time)
Butterfly Swords - Ninja Battles
(Scarlet has been getting all the good parts lately)

09 Karai (Battle Ready):

Vs Raph and Gear
She is sooooooooooo close. Theres only one single problem I have with her: Her legs are uneven. The left leg is longer. It's the combination of the leg parts that makes it that way. Sadly, those are the only upper legs that work with both the torso and lower legs. Oh well, she's in action poses most of the time anyways. It's still better than those original crappy legs I had on her. Originally, she had a chain coming off her belt. Now, I've taken that chain and made her a full kusarigama. Amazing how many chain weapons I've made and this is only the first time I've done a correct kusarigama. The daggers have been replaced because the old ones were to tight and it was putting paint off. In the past, Star has nicknamed these daggers "letter openers."

NEW PARTS:
Torso, Upper Arms, and Upper Legs - ROC Scarlet (Armored)
Lower Legs - Range Viper
Letter Opener Daggers - VvV Alley Viper
Kama (sickle) - I think a Street Fighter GI Joe (it's been used a # of times)

(Scarlet has been getting all the good parts lately)

Some more fun fight pics.

Getting a good angle for this was a pain.

Wish I had realised this could be done before I entered it in the other contest. The little hook to connect the chain to Raph can be used to do this.

Man, making one image per entry is gonna be hard...

The only one I don't care for is the Raphael/Night-Watcher. I prefer the bulkier torso and the over-sized hands and feet on the Playmates one. The others are really sweet, if I were into collecting customs I'd so buy these.

Out of the four, his my least liked too. I just wanted a Turtle in that scale and it will still be awhile before I finish my full body one. Once I have a full body Raph, I plan to leave the helmet on him. Looks better.

I'm going to start a custom right now. To enter this contest I have chance until tomorrow at midnight, right?

It was? Excellent! Although part of the fun was to try to do the custom in 24 hours just to see Wes' face, haha (figuratively speaking.)

I think the first post of this topic should be updated with the new deadline.

Actually, I think I did that in the last contest I entered here. Made Junkyard Metalhead that time in under a day.

I've been telling him that for like a month

I'm pretty scattered, but I will get to it

All you guys really had to do was make customs. Don't worry so much about the rules, they aren't going to be quite as strict as Patraw's usually are (no image dimension requirements, works in progress are allowed, group entries are allowed, and you are allowed to enter in multiple categories if your entries meet the respective requirements...)

Do I need to pm you the pics or just post them here? I'll post them here for now. I'm moving again tomorrow for the third time in less than a month so things are pretty hectic here. I managed to squeeze these out in my spare time:

Marvel Legends Super Shredder

The turtles don't count as entries

Retains full articulation, I want to give him a black wash but won't have time before the contest ends.

Vintage Motu Style Shredder:

This one happened by accident. I want to do more with him but won't have time before the contest ends.

And finally, Classic style Robo Leonardo:

Had an extra Metalhead lying around. Repainted the entire figure minus the metallic shell/plastron. I didn't like how he turned out at first but he's really grown on me and I like him a lot now.

Thanks for looking

Think your ML Super Shredder could use a belt. Otherwise, great. There's always an extra Metalhead lying around, ain't there? I somehow have 3. I'm digging the navy on it.

Curse you people and your finished Shredders! That Super Shredder looks great, Ectocooler -- what's the base figure? And that MOTU Shredder looks totally fun! I was actually thinking of doing something similar with my spare Shredder armor pieces.

Love the robotic Leonardo, too.

I did -- it just takes me a while to respond to PMs! Also, I'm not sure how to respond to such mockeryyyyyy in a civil fashion.

Thanks guys. The base to super shredder is some TNA toybiz wrestling figure.

And yeah Metalhead just sort of shows up in your house even if he wasn't invited. He's just that cool I guess.

This is Mecaturtle from the original NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game. Basically, he's an evil, off-color ninja turtle that transforms into a death droid. The turtle form is farther along than the robot, but they're both nearing completion. The robot will be floating mid-air, on a transparent stand--I'm probably going to add some rocket thrust flames to either his feet of back (maybe both) and possibly a homing missile suspended in the air in front of him.

Day 1 Progress (6/1/10):

Day 2 Progress (6/2/10):

I must have never got that far along in that game

I need to eventually get working on the robot form. Might also do one of the PC version's form 1.

All finished:

The two-stage boss found at the rooftop conclusion of Level 3 in Konami's (published under the Ultra label) original 1989 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) video game (it was also released on various computer platforms, and, more recently, as downloadable content on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console). Both the turtle and robot forms must be defeated, one after another, to save the TMNT's ratnapped master, Splinter, and proceed onwards to Level 4.

In reptile form, Mecaturtle runs and leaps about with great agility, slashing away at its foes with a razor-sharp ninjato sword. Should an adversary prove capable of besting the villain at this stage, Mecaturtle will change into its true shape, that of a deadly combat droid. This form is considerably more dangerous than the pseudo-terrapin and sports numerous attack capabilities: Jet thrusters in Mecaturtle's feet and back allow the mechanical menace to rocket through the air with ease. While airborne, it can lift its head, in a lid-like fashion, to launch homing missiles out of its torso. The robot's forearms can also reconfigure themselves, on the fly, to become either twin cannons or titanium blades.

Materials:
Newsprint, tissue paper, white glue, super glue, plastic, and acrylic paint.

Dimensions:
Turtle Form: 2.7 cm/1.1 in. x 2.9 cm/1.1 in. (widest point x highest point)
Robot Form: 5.4 cm/2.1 in. x 4.5 cm/1.8 in. (widest point x highest point*)
* 7.3 cm/2.9 in. high including the transparent stand.

Time:
Three days; June 1-3, 2010.

More information:
http://kramwartap.fortunecity.com/mecaturtle.html

And here's the smaller image that I'm officially submitting as an entry to be used in the voting thread(s):

Hey CJJ -- I just saw the updated first post with the info. Did you mean to write June 6th rather than May?

Here's hoping I can finish and photograph this thing in time to enter it!
