Found a quite a few of the mix n matches on ebay. Hopefully Slash is taller, it seems he is from a couple of the pics.

Hey, anyone happen to know what the articulation is like with the turtles? As Tiger Claw and Slash seem exactly the same articulation wise as their normal figures.

Found all four of the Mutation nick turtles the ones who turn into pet turtles on Amazon. They are sold by 3rd party sellers so they are a bit expensive.

Playmates missed a major opportunity on these… they could have zoo made metalhead a BAF figure...

One of the reasons I held off getting the 'normal' one. If he is taller (which he seems to be in comparison with the Tiger Claw One) he will sell like hot cakes. So, I'll definitely be getting him

How is that a major opportunity? The regular figure has an awesome sculpt & is, unlike most secondary characters, actually in scale. Slash or Leatherhead would be much more logical choices for BAF's, given their regular figures are short & hunched over, respectively.

They're trying to capitalize on the reasonably good sales of Hasbro's Masher lines. BAF style lines require more work on the costing side of things, which wouldn't help in getting these on pegs as quickly as possible.

And let's not get carried away. Metalhead isn't scaled properly, either.

Yeah. Metalhead isn't even close to being in scale. Unlike most figures he's much larger than he should be. I think he's actually more out of scale than Slash.

Might get Tiger Claw instead of the regular one. But beyond that, the line don't really interest me.

I can see why this mix and match line can easily be related to bafs. I just the torso part is too big to be a pack in.

I think the mix and match line is a great idea in that kids can start developing custom figure ideas. With the silly combinations aside you can easily make a Raphael posing as shredder or Karai posing as Shredder. A Donatello in an metal head body can be a nice nod to VOl3.

I found two mix and match yesterday at TRU. I got slash and Leonardo. These things are actually extremely awesome. Slash is indeed taller and leo just looks mad. The turtles look pretty awesome. The villians look very similar to their other toy counterparts but the turtles look awesome!

I picked up the mutations Slash and Metalhead. I also can confirm that Slash is indeed taller than his regular version. The mutation Slash is, however, a little bit skinnier around the torso. Also his toenails are painted the neon green/yellowish color, like the back of his shell. The normal release Slash's toenails are not painted at all, so IMO the mutations one is better that way too.

Personally I like this new mutations Slash better. Him being taller is great, as scale was the major gripe for most of us with the first one. I just wish the new one wasn't a little skinnier around the torso. Its honestly not major, but if he had both the new height and his original beefier torso, he would be perfect, but he's still way better with the newer paint apps and height.

I saw all the mutation turtles on the pegs at TRU, but I didn't realize they were different. The closest TRU is only like a 4 minute drive from my house, so I may go back later and grab/look at them. I didn't know they had different heads, I wish I would have looked at them closer.

They are indeed different. I will take pictures for you later. I like mine with the Metalhead arm lol has an Image comics kinda feel to him. I think they are worth buying (at least the turtles anyway).

If my memory is right, they are a little taller than normal, the faces seem darker / meaner and none of the arms / legs can bend, Its a lot cooler than the Hasbro ones.

SOLD! I'll definitely be getting him, how's his articulation compared with his 'shorter' release?
