That happened to me too. But due to all the crap from the Leo stuff last month, I thought I'd been....

I think we should move to IRC. The chat still works perfectly fine for me, but:

* it requires MSN Passport (and not everyone wants to create it)
* some of the members can't use it, like you or the_member_formerly_known_as_hannah.

So maybe IRC would be better, methinks.

I'd be all for IRC. For those who haven't used it, it's not as daunting as it looks. Unless you want to register your own nickname, there's no need to register an account. Name changes, a task that's proven pretty difficult on MSN chat, is incredibly easy on IRC.

IRC would certainly be faster (in terms of connections) and more reliable. Plus: it doesn't kick you without any reason or notification (I suspect that this happened to me yesterday. Sorry, Ryona).

It's also really easy to use, once you got a couple of basic commands, which will take you about five minutes. Therefore, my vote goes to IRC.

Well I don't get how to configure Trillian to run IRC properly. I am now on irc.quakenet.org and don't find any Technodrome-chatroom.

I'm personally not all for the idea of switching. I'm quite comfortable with what we got now.

If people are having a rather difficult time getting in, you have to ask yourself what the problem is.

If it's because you have to get a Hotmail passport, just get the bloody thing. It's not difficult.

If you were in it before but it's not letting you in anymore, I can try to help you get back in if you want.

I've tried to get on and it directs me to a place to DL a patch for Netscape Nav. the sad thing is I'm using fire fox....and when I try to load the patch it gives me an error message...

I suggest you try getting on with Internet Explorer.

Tried....Internet Explorer doesn't like this computer (It doesn't work, and to DL the latest version you have to be using...wait for it...Internet Explorer)....which is why we use Netcsape and Fire Fox...I'd use Netscape but the darn patch won't load...*shrugs* Oh well....what am I missin'...

Hmm... I also used that Netscape patch and it worked good for me. And I use FF.
