Im liking the new intro and rap on the new show, like he little references to ot and comic book, the animation is pretty great too a little fast paced tho!

Lean green fighting machines and back on TV yes!!!

I liked it better than 2k3 because that 1,2,3,4 gets annoying after awhile...

Not bad. I'm glad they have some of the original theme in there.

I love the opening:
- the music
- the rap
- the animation
- the references (especially the tribute to the Mirage comics at the end)

Wonderful job, Nick. ;D

I really like the new theme. The animation, the music, the lyrics...

I love this new theme song. It's upbeat without being overwhelming, the visuals are incredibly stylish, and it's just thrilling. End result? Goosebumps, which means they must have done something right.

I'm also liking it a lot more than any of the 2k3 themes, just because the lyrics are less over-expressed. And don't get me wrong, I love the 2k3 themes - but after a while they started sounding more and more obnoxious to me because the singing is so over-the-top.

Not digging the theme song. Yeah, the nods are nice, but it's not very catchy. It's pretty awful really.

So did you guys see the interview where Ciro said they almost got the Beastie Boys to do the theme song? Apparently they talked to a lot of "name" rappers and many of them were weird about it.

Not sure how I would have felt about Beastie Boys, much as I like them. Would have been epic if they got The RZA or someone from Wu Tang to do it though.

Well, I, for one, like the 2003 theme, or specifically, the version of the theme that started in Season 4. The drawn-out "I l love bein' a Turtle" part was my favourite, so bleh.

Huh, I didn't catch that. That's interesting. I can't imagine it any other way than how it turned out.

Did they by any chance talk to Vanilla Ice? That could've been one HECK of a throwback!

Tell me they at least tried.

I like the new theme song. When I heard it was hip-hop I was a bit worried they would try too hard. Its a pretty good balance. When I go back and listen to the 2003 theme it feels much better.

Listened to it again and it's not as bad as I originally thought, it's not bad at all.

I've listened to it quite a few times now and it's really grown on me. I love the, "heroes in a half shell, turtle power" throwback and I appreciate that they brought it back into the theme.

thanks for the info, nines!wow, I didn't know that either...that is one ting that is-to quote a nowerdays fashionable word-meh....for me..don't get me wrong, Im fine with this new intro actually...and to use rap music with it for me always fitted the frame of the whole thing anyway-hell if you could understand the german intro to the ot you'd get that frank zander used pretty street slang all the way anyway and while not rappin he was kinda hip hopin...
the 2k12 intro:I only felt a little underwhelmed by the performance of the rap...guess with real masters of the ceremony that would have been incredible!!...also, the rza?great idea I think...fitting even in the wu shu context...

So extreme, up the sewer like a laser beams
Get rocked with the shell shock pizza kings

Can't stop these radical dudes

Donatello is the fellow, has the a way with machines

Michelangelo, he is one of a kind, and you know just where to find him when it's party time
Master Splinter taught them every single skill that they need

In red are the modifications I made of the lyrics based on what I could understand when listening closely to the rap.
