But of course, this is a children show so all that character arc stuff will happen off screen....goddamnit Also I would agree that at her core, she would want to kill Shredder at all cost but how much can you stretch that out and of course you can't kill off Shredder or else there would be no show so I can see where the writers are coming from.

Meh, I'm a little disappointed that it was Karai but I learned not to have my hopes too high. It was okay, the only scene that stood out to me was the scene where Leo gets angry and argues with Donnie which causes all four of them to argue.

That was very unexpected to see something like that in this show, like woah **** got real at that point.

I thought this episode was awesome. Probably one of my favorites because it really had an emotional feel to it. I also really laughed hard when Mikey was huge in Donnie's game and then it follows that up with Splinter having to fight his daughter to try and save her and his sons. It was just an emotional gambit of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I really liked it.

Karai's FINALLY free!
I saw this episode and I was hoping that Splinter would get through to Karai somehow...and he DID! and now she's finally free of that mind control worm! Now I just hope they bump into her again ASAP!

After rewatching this episode I couldn't help but feel some level of disappointment on how generic (except Shredder) the villains have become. There was so much potential in developing rivalries/relations between them and the turtles.
I mean, I just felt disappointed that Fishface designed that trap for Raph. I always thought he was the kind of guy who wanted to beat Raph with his own hands. (Or feet) Raph and Fishface, Mikey and Rahzar, Stockman and Donatello, Leo and Tigerclaw, Casey and Hun. All could have had some kind of rivalry or storyline. And with Rocksteady and Bebop being there for more funny moments but with them still having their own agenda regarding Shredder. But we're seeing none of this. Even some interesting interactions between villains themselves (like Rahzar and Tigerclaw in season 2, with both being warriors) would add more depth. Tigerclaw's cliché laugh at the end also felt out of place. |

Very solid episode featuring Karai. Too bad Donnie could not cure her, but at least she got rid of the mind control worm.
