If Casey flirting with Karai didn't change the way he felt about April, I doubt this means Leo's feelings for Karai have changed. It wasn't too long ago he was talking about how he was in love with her; if he ever did move on, it would be nice to have him say as much, rather than to just seemingly forget and move on with no proper closure on his part.

I think Leo still cares about her as much as he did before. I'm not sure if he's moved on from loving her in a romantic sense though. I did like that part of the episode though. It was hilarious.

Okay, it was hilarious and a little sad at the beginning. We saw some Turtle Tears....

We saw an on point, badass, and pretty, all around great April O’Neil. Like, they really enhanced her charcter by 1,000%.

Mikey was adorable!! Squeeee!

Casey and Raph? That was the bromance I've been missing for days!!!!

And last but not least, David Tennant KIllED it! Loving Fugitoids dry humor already

The animation was beautiful and this episode was just top notch.

I loved it too! I REALLY hated The beginning of the third season... I even thought about quitting the show a few times.... But this episode was epic!
I love Aprils outfit and the ot throwback....
I am so happy Casey and Raph are hanging out.... I thought they had forgot that Casey was Raph's friend there for awhile.... (And forgot their are Raph fans).
I loved the humor (I laughed my head off). I enjoy the more serious episodes as well, but I am a big fan of the ot after all. Maybe the fact that they go back and forth From funny to serious is what keeps us hooked
Seeing the guys all get in trouble in there own unique ways was great.

What a premiere. Did I like it? Yes! And no.

The way it began was pretty good, maybe a little too quick with turning back time 6 months before Earth was destroyed. Moments, I kept wondering, "Why don't they just go back now and prevent it ahead of time?" But hey. Kids shows.

When they put on their space suits, it was great seeing all their reactions. First off, I'm happy Leo's geeking out again. Second, this was the best episode for April O'Neil. I really liked her character this time around.

Plus, there was some standout moments: Fugitoid, floating in space, casey's "Vanilla Ice" quote, Leo flirting with an alien, and the introduction of Lord Dregg.

So, why is it that I don't love this episode? Well, let's see. It's one thing to be fish out of water, but the turtles seemed to have left their brains by the ship's door. Donnie touching an object that duplicated him. Funny, but . . . You shouldn't be grabbing something that is not familiar to you. Also, what part of "Don't touch anything" did Casey and Raph did not understand? I was with this episode from the time it started until the turtles started acting like morons.

Although, Mikey didn't mean to cause trouble. All he wanted was food. And Leo. He was just being friendly and wanted to talk to someone. I guess those two are kind of vindicated.

Lord Dregg needs a better motive for killing the turtles. The spice thing seems like a good reason, because maybe the spice was some kind of drug on that planet. Also, he's a smuggler. However, there needs to be some kind of deeper reason behind killing the turtles. What if he was in league with the Triceratons? That would be some twist. I don't know. There needs to be something better. And what about Fugitoid. Why didn't he come with them? Maybe he could've prevented some of the crap the turtles and friends started.

Anyways, for a premiere, not the best, but not the worst. I've noticed with this show that their first episodes aren't that good. "Rise of the Turtles" was the best (mostly because it was the start of a great show), but this, "The Mutation Situation," and "Within the Woods" were weak in certain areas. The Season 2 premiere had April getting mad at the turtles and ending their friendship. I knew it couldn't last long, but I didn't like that. For Season 3, Leo trying to overcome his injury was the best part, but the mutant Creep did nothing for me.

It seems like after every explosive and well-done finale, there has to be a half-assed premiere.

Gonna have to disagree with you on the Turtles leaving their brains behind, unfortunately. Let's just be realistic here, pal, if you were in space...SPACE for the first time at a SPACE PORT seeing aliens and gadgets and armory and whatnot would you not be a little more than giddy about that?

I mean, of you can honestly say that you wouldn't be grabbing cool space stuff and trying out new things then, gee, I don't know what kind of person you are- but, I for one, would be contained, for sure.

So, I think, we just gotta stop being a tad too critical about the sillier aspects of this show and place yourself in not only the characters but also the writers' positions. We don't know everything, though we love to think we do. And we don't have to even lift a finger to get these episodes, yet they word their butts off day and night to satisfy all of us vast majority of fans with tons of opinions, requests and complaints. Is Don stealing a holographic doo-hickey or Casey and Raph being dorks really something to complain about? Especially when you'd probably be just as blissfully careless?

Eh, didn't think so...

And this isn't just to you...its to all those guys reading waaay into this show

And, no bro, it wasn't half-assed. It just wasn't in your favor. If you saw a painting and didn't like it does that necessarily mean the painter didn't try their best? No. So, it's fine to say you didn't like it or it wasn't your most favorite and explain why...but saying its half-assed? Who are you to say, really. Not being rude, I respect your thoughts, but that's border line disrespectful when you've seen from interviews and behind the scenes just how much passion and effort they put into this show, man.

I think part of their stupidity was that they were for once able to walk around like normal people, that it really got easy to forget that they were still strangers in a strange land.

I don't think Dregg is in league with the Triceraton's. He's obviously something akin to a Mafia bogss which is why he was scary to all those other aliens that were chasing the Turtles. However I can certainly see Dregg turning to Armagon (they did say in his character bio he is a bounty hunter with a taste for Turtle) to capture the Turtles.

I can also see Dregg making deals with the federation and or the Triceraton's for the Turtles capture.


Fugitoid didn't go with them, because he was the one who needed to refuel the ship and get supplies.

From the sound of things in the interview with Cipes and Auman. They do get a food replicator so Mikey is able to get his pizza.

The angle is shifted in the second pic. In the first still Mikey is draped over Splinters dead body. So April is likely comforting him in the second shot.

If I actually was on an alien planet, as exciting as it may be, I'd still be terrified to touch anything or talk to anyone. Yet, maybe I would do what Leo did: try to make conversation, if I wanted to, but I don't know.

Not saying all they did was bad. Mikey just felt lost in world that wasn't his own. Leo was trying to be friendly to another species. Don and April were having fun together. I guess I'm only mad at Raph and Casey. Like I mentioned before: What part of "Don't touch anything" did they not understand?

In other words, they weren't too bad. Not all of them were creating trouble on purpose. I don't know. I guess it's because this episode wasn't what I thought it would be. However, I said the same thing about the Guardians of the Galaxy film, but that changed when I saw it again. Maybe I need to give this a second viewing to enjoy it more. I mean, it wasn't terrible, but it was short of amazing.

That's just how I feel.

A fair amount of people speak against the turtles having silly or immature moments but I for one love them.

It's like this- One of the things that makes Nick's turtles stand apart from the rest, call it a defining trait, even, is that they often times actually feel like teenagers. You can rarely say that of turtles past. Also, that's the kind of humor kids like these days, & kids are the main demographic for this show. Whether or not it's your cup of tea, it's gotta be done. I think they handle the goofy elements really well, having seen some other modern cartoons, it could've gone down an entirely different (& super annoying) path. The whole "LOLSORANDOM" thing. For the first time in forever, the turtles feel a disconnect from the mundane & become kids in a candy shop on this new world. I think that's great. Granted I wouldn't want them to always be that way, but in their first experiences? Sure!

I liked the episode alot. It was great to see Leo geek out again since we haven't seen a lot of that, if at all, in Season 3. It was pretty cool seeing them float out in space and having fun (except Raph, poor Raph).

I really like how Lord Dregg was handled in this episode. I never cared for this character at all in the 87 series so I wonder what they were thinking bringing this character back. But I thought they handled him quite well, aside from his irrational behavior over groceries. Hopefully they will find a way for me to like this version of the character, otherwise....*I say, throw the bum out"!

I don't think it was that bad what they did. Casey and Raph were acting like typical teenage boys. How many times have your parents said to you, "Don't touch anything" and yet you still have the urge to do exactly the opposite of what they told you to do? I think we've all had moments like that, and that's what I loved about it. They were just being typical kids who don't listen to authority because they're having fun. Like Powder said, I love this show for putting emphasis on the teenage part of the title.

And, Late Bloomer, Leo did geek out in season 3 in "Battle for New York" when they were going to teleport home and he said, "Just like Space Heroes!" But I agree that him geeking out was the best thing ever! I always love when he does that and hope there will be more moments like that.

I think that is Raph who is draped over Splinter in the second picture. The other turtle beside Donnie looks like Mikey to me. The tails of his mask look short and the shape of the head looks like Mikey's to me. The turtle that's draped over Splinter, you can see his bandana tail against the back of his head and it looks long so I think that's Raph.

Yeah but there was still so little of Leo geeking out in Season 3, though. It's cute in this version because you will NEVER see Leo act like that outside this series. The teeange aspect really shows in this version. Funny because despite the "teenage" in the title, I still use to see the turtles portrayed as young adults. I think this aspect will help kids relate to the turtles more. Especially when it comes to pretending to be them when playing outside. Still waiting for that moment where I look outside my window for a kid to pretend to be Leo pretending to be Captain Ryan, though.

I wouldn't say Dregg was freaking out over groceries more so drugs as he was selling a spice which in Star Wars means drugs.

Yes, spice is a term for synthetic marijuana, though probably a lot of people would have thought he meant spice as in cooking so maybe that's why they were able to get away with it.
