I think he'll retain most of his skin paint. It's likely the socks & shoes that will truly suffer.

Ye of such little faith !! Haha!!
I think Mondo will go down well actually. Give me a week or so....

Mutations. I got my set of figures today sans Leo. It's being sent on in a separate package this week. I'm glad I de cider to get these guys now. I originally thought they were pointless . Being a huge fan of BB n RS I was going to just get those guys, then I saw Casey in the batch, so I folded and got the range. Technically, I should open them to 'mutate' the figures

Today also saw my comic figures completed (thanks to someone on this board). That was one set of figures that I simply have neither seen or been offered here, so o relied on the U.S. market place for them. Thanks to those that helped.

Dregg looks pretty awesome so far but I'm not feelin' the rest.

Got my Mix & Match Rocksteady today. Decided not to go for Casey yet. Maybe later.

So between the standard Casey, this one, and the vehicle pack-in without the facepaint, we'll have three Casey figures in this line - more than any other line (2003 topped out at 2). Meanwhile there's still just one April. Remember all of the ones the original line had? I miss those days.

Do got my Casey this morning.

This Mutations line is starting to take up some room...

I'm sure there will be even more.
I am not entirely sure, and it may be lighting, but my Mutations Rock Steady looks to have the better coloring of all the variations I have.
I'm guessing now, that this range is popular with kids because they can pull these guys apart and build up 'new' figures..lots of playability. I'll keep mine in pack for the time being. It's still possible that I'll break em all out, pop em all apart and put all the bits in a big tub. Maybe

A set for me, that's been a year in the compiling:

The 2014 SDCC figure got the ball rolling a year ago of course.
Then, all I could find over here was a loose Raph. Thus, I gave the sais from the Mutatuons Raph, as I thought this size suited him better.
Eventually I got my grubby little pretroberances (doctor Who reference !!) on the four, with the last one, Donnie arriving at my office today. ( I'll edit in a personal thanks if the donor has no objection ).
The set is one of the least elaborate but most interesting that Playmates have released. Yes, the base figures are all the same, and the lack of colored masks ensures that sans weapons, these guys are indeterminate from each other. That said, this helps to make the set all the more interesting. Add in the fact that I have recently bought and therefore, am reading the Artaugraphy book by Mr Eastman (it's brilliant by the way) makes this little set a very welcome addition to my collection. I know it's not a set for everyone, but it has a unique charm that I enjoy.

Didn't somebody report that Playmates told them Karai would be distributed everywhere in the Fall? I hope it's July for those two.

They are already starting to show up at TRU's. Also Amazon had a preorder for them a week and a half ago. They sold through them really quickly.

Btw nice screen name.

Whilst we await more news on Mondo Gecko and the new Shredder fugure(s).
And just when you thought the retro classics line was done and dusted..

Bebop and Rocksteady get the reissue treatment. This completes the set of 10 from the original 80s collection...but not quite. We get 10 figures, but the Krang Walker in place of April.
I'm glad we're getting these 2 in this range. OK, I've still got the original pair, but not packaged, and this pair will help set off the other 8 on the wall.
Anyways, this pair have made this BB n RS fan happy. Hopefully the release will please others, and I see it as pathing the way for the potential release of the classic Shredder and Krang Android body shown earlier.

Are there any differences compared to the original '88 figures?

I'm convinced the next pair will be Casey and April. I won't be holding my breath for the release tho . The futures in this range have such gaps between releases.
As for similarities, the two figures and accessories are identical in every way to their original releases, right down to Bebop having a rather pink head.

Several people thought the same. I can't confirm that this means the resurrection of the Shredder and Krang, but I'm quite hopeful. Those early proto types looked promising.
I should be able to shred, I mean shed some light on Mondo in a week or so .

Actually, that's correct for a reissue of the first release of this figure. Check out tmntfan's images from original release of Bebop ...

Bebop's belt & Rocksteady's arm bracelets are not painted, that's the only difference I'm seeing here.
