At least we can finally close the book on the Snyderverse for good with this movie. Hard to believe it really has been 10 years since Man of Steel came out in 2013. 10 years of this universe and its finally done.

10 years of edgy nonsense, promises and clumsy pivoting.

Its funny that all this real world stuff surrounding DCCU was more interesting than the movies. If WB had any brains in the collective heads, they would get rid of universe" crap ad just returned to making stand alone movies, especially with the fall of MCU.

The killer is that after all of this drawn out nonsense and stalling, we COULD have still gotten the MoS sequel out there along with a truly great Batman movie.

But they took 400 years in between Wonder Woman movies to crap out 1984 instead.

I would say that given the state of things there is zero chance of this movie doing well at the theater. It might have had some excitement about it if there was no Amber Heard controversy.

The first one was solid, but it had the benefit of being the first movie to pull off an underwater superhero. So visually, it was something entirely new in many ways.

It could very well tank to high heaven... but I wouldn't count it out just yet. Momoa really brought out female audiences and I think he can still command an overall audience since this is a "proven" franchise. That coupled with, well, there just plain not being very many movies at all coming out for a while, could be a big winner.

I'd be fine with it doing well to be honest. But I think these are examples of where the "shared universes" fail studios - audiences have a hard time taking a single movie on it's own merits now (which is weird), and if they feel like it's going nowhere, they don't want to get onboard.

But yeah, I could see women bringing their boys to the theater to see this one. I thought the first one was really good, but I only sat through it one time.

Women might bring their boys the theater strictly to fawn over Jason Mamoa lol
